Great service from one bartender alone - because of her, the night was amazing and she's the one that get all 4 stars because of her energy and mixology knowledge. The manager on the floor, which we understand he's doing his job, is not great at communicating in a friendly manner. We had reservations, but didn't realize you HAD to eat something, so he moved the 4 of us from our table to the bar, which was totally fine, but his delivery of words weren't ideal, considering my experience in the food & hospitality industry, he could have articulated himself a lot better, especially his tone, we aren't children, you could have spoken to us like adults. It doesn't say that on your website, so maybe you guys need to update that since we were told you need a reservation to just get in there prior to bottle service. But at the bar is where all the good times were - then bottle service started and the place got packed and then we were told we couldn't hang out at the bar anymore because we weren't spending enough money, even after the two bottles of Moet was purchased. My husband and I left right after that interaction. The tone and his demeanour needs some serious work.
First time back in a while and I must say I'm actually impressed, my past experiences were not as pleasant. I was able to make a reservation by email, I didn't have any issues at the door, the hostess was nice. The new food menu was exceptional and beyond what i expected, the drinks were amazing and Valarie our bartender made the experience even more memorable, looking forward to going back.
The drinks and food were all good - a bit pricey but that was to be expected! Pretty loud music even around 8pm, not great for casual conversation. But service was quick and turns into a fun club later in the evening!
Great "hidden" bar in Old Montreal with a wide selection of food and drinks. The club style atmosphere is a great way to spend your evenings with friends.
Flyjin is a izakaya-inspired restaurant in the heart of Old Montreal. High-powered executive chef Olivier Vigneault and his team serve up predominantly Japanese fare, but also explore flavors from China. Commonly mistaken for a supper club, things are not what they seem in this exclusive underground venue. Set in a subtly futuristic yet timeless underground dining room, Flyjin boasts a synchronized lighting system that transforms the space to fit the mood at any point during the evening. It features a large removable dining table for big parties wanting to be the center of attention, cozy banquettes for the more personal dinner party, tall tables with a communal feel, a stretching bar for a casual meal and several nooks behind the bar for an intimate dinner where one needs only interact with their waiter and bartender, hovering just above the evening crowd.
I was trying to plan a big birthday with a group of friends and inquired about bottle service. The response I got was that they refuse bottle service reservations if the male/female ratio is not close to 1:1. Is this even allowed to be enforced? Who do they think they are? The funny thing is management actually communicated this to me in writing via email... so smart and professional. I thought it would be a cool place to try as I visit Montreal frequently and have partied at the other clubs in the area. But never have I been told in writing I can't reserve because of gender ratios. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
Not recommended- the old guy working the door in the back alley said he wanted $1000 entrance fee. We paused for a second thinking he was joking. He wasn’t. We laughed in his face then went next door to Philemon and had an amazing night.
Found it while going at a client. Cute little coffee shop. Friendly staff. The locals are chatting with him. Wide range of non milk products for coffee. I had a soy latte. It was nice and made from Colombian coffee. Nice music blasting an decoration also.
The ladies took care of us very well, sweet team and lovely atmosphere. The music was boring at the beginning however The Dj switch to the real vibes later on and honestly was killing it. The menus of the food kind of tight, hard to find something good to eat, mostly suchi and ra stuff or overpriced ! However it’s good place to come once a while for birthday or celebration . The drinks just as you asked .
Food and drinks were amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
