Flo's Wood Fired Pizzeria

Stopped in for a bite with the family before an IceHogs game. We shared 3 different specialty pizzas and all were delicious. Some good local brews on tap too. Our server was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our visit.

Dropped in for an early dinner after a quick browse through the Friday market. Tried the blackberry hibiscus margarita, meatball gigante, lobster pizza, fusili, and left with a s'mores "pizza." The margarita was light and refreshing on a warm day. The meatball, offered as an appetizer, has a very tender, almost Pâté-like consistency. The fusili had a lovely lemon basil flavor, with the sauce being just a bit heavier than expected, which was not unpleasant. The lobster pizza smells and tastes wonderful, but can be a bit heavy on the butter. If I visit again I would probably ask for light butter, or butter on the side. Visiting in off-hours is nice, as food comes up quickly. We put our order in for the take-home dessert and it took longer to receive than expected, as the restaurant had become busier and the pizza oven only has so much space. Friendly service as well!

We enjoyed Woodfire Pizza tonight while viewing the lights at Illuminated Anderson Gardens. The g-free crust was perfect and the whole pizza was so yummy! Thanks for being at Illuminated!

The lobster pizza was delicious! The service was fast and friendly with a nice atmosphere. My drink was the Woodfire Sour which was also tasty.Food: 5/5

Great food, great staff!!! As a parent with children who are noise sensitive it makes it hard to go out sometimes. This is kid friendly and sensory friendly. It can become louder when it is busy but for the most part it is sensory friendly. Will come back no doubt.

Nice selection of pizzas and entrees. The truffle fries were by far our favorite item. Small bar with good amount of cocktail selections. Parking fairly easy with lots and street parking nearby.Food: 4/5

Went here for a special dinner with three generations of my family. Couldn't have picked a classier or more exquisitely tasty option. They've earned a repeat customer for sure. If you haven't been here, you have to try it. Fresh ridiculously local flavors abound. These guys definitely know how to take pies to the next level. It's all about the wood fired oven, obviously, but they've got everything else covered as well. Bring the credit card because it will set you back, but I guarantee you'll agree. I definitely recommend the bruschetta as your most awesome appetizer option. The tomato, basil, balsamic they give with it is like food crack. I notice when people take pics of pizzas they get here, there's always at least one slice missing, so I'm including ONE whole one. Couldn't get pics of both without someone digging in! Service was amazing as well. Please don't sleep on this downtown gem.

Nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. Our food arrived very quickly it was almost too hot and was delicious and high-quality. I have to eat gluten free and cannot tell that their gf pizza crust is actually gluten free because it is SO much like the "real thing". On this visit I had the gluten free red pepper and goat cheese pizza, which was perfect. We also ordered the Tuscan fries and grilled octopus, both of which were very good. I also enjoyed watching the pizza chef, who is out in the restaurant making our pies. Great place. Dietary restrictions: Not the same old gluten free crust. This is handmade and delicious.

It’s nice to see the namesake of the restaurant anchoring the kitchen as you walk in. The sight of a beautiful wood fire oven pumping out hand made pizzas warms you up on a chilly autumn evening. There are also great appetizers such as the grilled octopus and “Gigante” meatball. The pastas are also great. I especially enjoyed the tagliatelle. Very nice cocktail and wine list along with a nice beer selection. Dinner time is usually fairly busy so reservations are recommended. Enjoy!
