Story

We have been open for about 10 years now and have maintained our original mandate to serve a wide variety of healthy affordable food options to the people of our community and locality. We do not own, or will ever own or operate a deep-fryer, and the wide majority of our menu items are home-cooked and home-made. We serve all-day breakfast, we serve lunches, we serve Dinner entrees, we do take-out and cater to functions and meetings large and small... we have experience doing weddings, dinner theaters, and other larger 3+ course venues; we strive to support and buy local produce and local companies so that every dollar that is spent at our establishment stays in our communities and province. Friendly staff and great old photos on the walls. Can't say much else that's positive. I ordered a salad that, at best, maybe resembled something I'd throw together at home if on a time crunch. Not something that should be served in a legit restaurant. My boyfriend had a burger with coleslaw and home fries. It was fine but nothing special. We paid extra for things that, per the menu, were included with our meals. Not impressed at all. Save your money for food at a real restaurant with a legit chef.

Great place for lunch with healthy options and kids menu. The cakes looked good and very reasonable, but I was too full! Cost was about $65 for 4 adults and 2 children, would definitely recommend.

The homemade food is always great. There is no deep fryer here. Loveable staff.

Huge portions, kind of expensive for average food. Chowder was OK, and chicken fettucini. Fish cakes tasted like unseasoned potatoes. Disappointed that it calls itself a tea room with very little tea selection or knowledge from staff.
