I tried this restaurant for the first time last weekend and I must say, this was the best food I've had in years. I'm definitely going to become a regular, theres was nothing we tried that wasn't delicious. Not to mention the excellent service. We ordered rice with seafood, good cooking, excellent flavor.
Food was ok. We had been wanting to try this food for so long as the pictures posted on their social media look amazing. We ordered the margaritas and tostones to start which were actually pretty good. However we were a little disappointed when our mains came. We ordered 2 bandeja paisas and one churrasco. All of the food was slightly cold, I had to get my churrasco reheated. The chicharrón barely had any meat on it as seen in the pictures. We then realized the bandejas were missing the avocado. When I asked the server about it, she told me that it does not come with it. As a Colombian who was born and raised eating typical Colombian food, I have never heard of a bandeja paisa not having avocado. We didn’t think much of it, but every bandeja paisa they have posted on their social media, includes avocado. Overall the food was okay, but quality could be better.
First time visiting Latin place. Love the food and very cool and aesthetic place. Staff is very nice and explained us everything what’s on the menu. Definitely recommend this place.
Often times, when you walk into a restaurant you make an opinion of what what it may be like. Walking into Flavours is the way I wish I felt at each restaurant. As soon as you open the door you escape the cold Hamilton winter and are transported to a better place. Music fills the venue and beautiful murals cover the walls. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was filled. The staff immediately came up to great us and ask what we needed. Our take out orders were taken and we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere. We ordered the empanadas and the picada platter. The food was cooked to perfection and there was enough for left overs. The menu is filled with so many other options and our plan includes trying more from their diverse menu. Loads of parking in the area. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent atmosphere. The best Latin food I’ve had. Flavours Latin Cuisine has it all. I do recommend checking their hours. They are only open Thursday to Sunday so consider this when planning your visit. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available.
So I love tacos ALOT!.. one taco I've always wanted to try is Birra Tacos.. almost had a chance to try it at Taco fest in Toronto last year but the line up was insane.. so I sadly passed on it. Made it a goal to try it this coming summer. Fast forward ..I follow Flavours Latins insta page and couldn't believe my eyes when they posted Birra Tacos is now on their menu.... haaa!!.. was so so happy. Went in today and OMG .. It's so so yummy!!.. everything about this Tacos.. the beef broth.... the Shredded beef.. the side hot sauce. It was heavenly!. Definitly not your average regular Tacos!..hands down one of my best meals. Really made this foodie happy.... I'm def returning for a 3rd visit... Yes food gets me super excited Was RICHLY seasoned koz nobody got time for basic tasting food. LOL Also ordered the Passion fruit smoothie.. loved this alot as its not packed with sugar neither was it watered down. Right amount of sweetness as i do not have a sweet tooth... lol. Quesabirria Tacos Three pieces of corn tortillas stuffed with beef shank, beef short ribs and cheese. Served with a side of beef broth consomme lime wedges, diced onion, cilantro and hot sauce. $18
Flavours DEFINITELY lives up to its name! I visited with friends for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the portions, flavour and authenticity of the food. Staff - friendly and attentive Facility - the hand painted mural is beautiful, IMO. Spacious and can accommodate a larger group. Food - Delicious! Tasty! Flavourful! Filling! A number of the menu items are similar to Caribbean-esque dishes. Recommend? Yes I'll definitely be returning!
This place blew me away. The atmosphere, art, service and FOOD are amazing. Order the chicken with mushroom sauce and shrimp cocktail. I love this place. Feels like a mini vacation. Great for parties, family or date night. Great gem in Hamilton. Kid-friendliness: Everyone is welcome here.
This place has been on my radar for a while. It has a rear parking lot located off Parkdale. Atmosphere is great, bright paintings on walls, the patio although closed looked well maintained. Staff were welcoming, friendly and made ordering a breeze. We decided to try a few things on the menu. Overall, the porky sandwich was huge yet lacked flavor. Yucca was over priced for portion size. Empanadas are more potatoes than meat. The Salchipapa was dry and could greatly be improved with stewed beans for moisture. Thankfully, the Tequeños were very delicious who doesn't love fried cheese?! One thing for sure the sauces were excellent! Their Chimichurri, and Aji is A+ but that Garlic Mayo is is show stopper! Flan was good too although not pictured Not sure if I'd return but glad I stopped by!
The food was good, was very disappointed of getting extra charge for sauce and tortillas in my bill without the waiter letting me know that was extra charge for each thing, they just put everything in my bill, good luck
Unfortunately the restaurant has changed ownership. This has resulted in a completely different menu and different atmosphere. Music was too loud. Very disappointed. The old restaurant was well known for their unique plantain burger. Menu is your typical Latin food found in most restaurants. Definitely not recommended!
