Flavors of Kerala

My wife and I were very surprised with the quality of the food. We ordered paneer and a dal soup as appetizers. As main dish I ordered mango chicken and a pasanda. All the flavors were perfect. Pictures are from the Indian salad and the dal soup.

We were on 3 day visit to Montreal and wanted to try out a typical Keralite cuisine . In case you didnt know, Kerala is one of the southern states in India, also known as “God’s own country” and famous for spicy flavour. We fell in love with the beef fry, Pallappam and lamb masalapics attached. Great service too. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for dine in as well as take outs. They won us over with their hospitality and great cuisine.

Very Good food , Authentic thalasshery biriyani with flavours and the mango pickle was tasty. I have ordered a squid roast but the packing was not pleasing because they put curry in a big box and it was half the portion. This is not good when some one open the box see only half portion. Either they have to change to small box or fill the box with full curry.

Good place for trying out Kerala style food. Don't miss the thalaserri Biriyani. They have some nice snacks and drinks option too.

Biryani has always been good. True!! But everything else is below standard and overpriced. Like this parotta.. which was not even cooked well. Very disappointing!!! Updated: 10/18/2021 Kudos to the efforts, on Saturday a friend treated us to the parotta here and there is exceptional improvement. Felt like home! Still a bit overpriced, but good food is what's more important. Thank you!

Horrible! I ordered the fish curry with palappam as a suggestion from one of the good reviews about this restaurant. The fish was a small slice floating in a very poorly tasting, oily sauce - not what curry sounds like to me! The pancake smelled like a sour expired undercooked pancake - went straight to garbage. The picture says it all...

Now I am glad that Montreal has a Malayali restaurant. I tried Kappa biriyani with Kaada fry. The packing was good in transparent plastic box. They got the authentic Kerala flavours taste with them. Though,the shop is located in a crowded part of the street,you will get 60 minute parking space just in front of the shop. I recommend to my friends that to try it at-least once. You will love it. Excellent restaurant serving authentic Kerala cuisine, the only one in Montreal. The parotta and chicken curry were delicious.

Absolutely Love their food. Taste of Home, away from Home. Wide array of Menu options. Mutton Biryani was great, served in layered Fashion. Very well organized. Friendly staff. Take outs in minimal timing.

The worst food I have ever tasted in my whole life,Instead of beef curry they served me onion curry with uncooked beef This is my reply for all your concerns We requested to open a store in kingston before we ate your food. Now I regret for that. Coming to the parcel, we paid for it and its our absolute right to throw it in wastebasket or take it home. I respect food and is completely against my ethics to throw food just because it’s not tasty. Another thing, is this the way you respond to your customer?? Review is an opportunity for the customer to say their opinion, it’s not a place to show your arrogance. It’s always good to know the importance of hospitality and responsibilities of a business owner. And I know you won’t be dare enough to say the same if I was Canadian.
