I registered in this gym a few weeks ago and it is not at all what I imagined.nThe sports equipment and supplies are old, like the clubs of the 1980s.nThere are about 9 treadmills here, one of them is sleeping and one of them has problems and cannot be used.nAlso, there are only two pairs of dumbbells of each weight, that is, only two people can use a 20 kg dumbbell at the same time.nEvery time I have to stay in the parking lot for more than 30 minutes to find a parking space or take a risk and park in the nearby parking lots and hope that I don't get fined or that someone doesn't hit my car.nThe sauna never works.nMost of the time, the toilet cannot be used.nThere are no paper towels to dry.n3 of the changing rooms do not have locks and cannot be used.nThere is no hair dryer that you can use to dry your head or body.nAll in all, I give 2 stars only for the price of 10 dollars every two weeks.
Scammers. My membership was non-contract and when I decided to cancel it, they'll make you sign another contract to charge for an extra month or they will not go through with the cancel. Additionally I was also charged the annual fee because they kept delaying my cancellation until after the annual fees was charged. Reasons given were things like broken printer, managers not around, has to cancel in person etc.nnThe best advice I can give is It's easier to just revoke their rights to charge you with your credit card company than attempting to cancel your membership with these crooks.
I was in a contract with them and for some reasons I had to cancel my contract . They didn’t let me do that even after I offer them cancellation fee and all. They kept me in contract for two year and I thought finally my contract is over and they are not gonna charge me anymore but that was not the case they continued to charge me and after I talked to them they said that you haven’t canceled it and it goes to monthly pass after contract I asked to cancel it right there but they said no you have to wait for one more month and now they deduct annual fees. Honestly this gym is all about your money and they don’t care how long you were with them or what type of membership you have . Also Ive noticed that anybody from minimum membership to Gold membership have access to hydro massage chair and all . They basically don’t care about their members.
I’ve been a member of Fitness World since 1993, and have had an opportunity to experience working out at many of the Lower mainland locations. I have to say that this particular Kingsway location is the only one where I have felt that one can be themselves regardless of their fitness level, age or training experience. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and approachable, and I also enjoy interacting with the other gym members—some of which have become close friends. I go to the gym 5 days a week and always look forward to it. They have all the equipment I need and a great atmosphere and sense of community here.
Been coming here for the last 8 years, lots has changed but the small friendly community of staff has always been a constant. Newer amenities such as the Normatec, massage beds, & hydrotherapy beds provide plentiful options for post-workout recovery. All in all a solid gym with a dedicated Olympic lifting section, numerous cardio machines, and two sections of free weights.
