I was fortunate enough to enjoy a fine performance at the FirstOntario Concert Hall by the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. The hall was spacious with good sight lines and decent acoustics. For sure it had a retro feel to it but the layout with the long gently sloping ramps to access the balcony and mezzanine was both safe and efficient moving a lot of people in a short period of time. Overall an amazing evening. However the parking is a disaster. It took 45 minutes to get out of the parking garage. They simply need a better system. Not really sure where was the disconnect with the people trying to get out or maybe there were too many events happening at the same time. However even this small blemish did not ruin the magical evening of music from the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra at FirstOntario Concert Hall.
We attended Queen it's a kind of magic, Seating was good, sound was very good and the stage was large for being a smaller venue. Drinks were average price. Clean facility with friendly staff
Attended Brit Floyd’s concert and it was amazing! It was surprising to see Roger Waters’ son performing with the band. Absolutely an amazing experience.nWill definitely be back.
It is a nicely appointed theatre with good leg room. More leg room than Princess of Wales theatre in Toronto. It's a bit odd since there is no middle aisle - just long rows from left to right. At least in the orchestra section.nnThe washrooms in theatres are always disappointing and this one was no exception. There are washrooms on at least two levels. Individual, accessible washrooms are available. Ramps to upper level were long but a bit steep. There are elevators. The staff seemed very happy to accommodate people with assistive devices but this is just third hand experience.nnParking is available next to the Concert Hall but we parked elsewhere.nnThe show itself was very high quality. 100% on par with Mirvish. Would recommend checking it out!
The staff are the friendliest, most accommodating group I’ve experienced in a while. Due to an injury I wasn’t able to access the seats I purchased, I spoke with Guest Services and they relocated me, as well as my group, to more comfortable seating to suit my needs. This was a sold out show and the staff handled it like professionals, not once did I feel like I was burdening them. They made sure I got to my seat and was completely comfortable and after the show they made sure I made it to the elevator to leave. Britt Floyd had a phenomenal show, as always, but the highlight of my night was the service given to me by Cheryl and the staff at Guest Services. Thank you all for a great evening !!
