Nice vibes. Nice setup. Very barebones arena. Kinda just the arena. No real space for activations and a few rude staff I encountered. Otherwise the audio quality was top tier, MGK put on a good performance. The arena had a few merch lines which were WAY too long. Something needs to be done there maybe more merch lines??? Also getting in was very bizarre. They make you go to your actual gate here overall it is a nice redesign albeit bare bones. Not really digging the black and white walls everywhere just bland but again overall experience was good. Will probably come back if TDC works with Metrolinx on late trains and buses because getting back to Toronto is currently a nightmare if you're taking transit. It was 1130ish and no extended service.. really????? Anyways. 4/5 stars.
It’s refreshing to see Hamilton stepping into a more modern, European-style event experience. The upgrades at the venue make a noticeable difference the moment you arrive.nnOne of the biggest improvements is the amount of space throughout the venue. There’s plenty of room to grab drinks and food before events without feeling cramped, which helps reduce that pre-show chaos. The self-serve, tap-to-pay food and drink stations are especially interesting. You tap your credit card, a $30 hold is placed, and your selections are tracked using AI surveillance. If you go over, your card is charged the difference; if you spend less, the remaining balance is refunded. It’s a cool, forward-thinking concept, though it does feel like there may still be a few kinks to work through we’re still waiting to see the refund processed on our card.nnFood options are solid and familiar: classic chicken strips, fries, poutine, popcorn, Italian options, and a few sandwich choices. For drinks, you can either use the self-serve beer areas or order directly at the counter, which helps keep lines moving once things settle.nnInside the arena, the layout feels much more organized. The venue itself is spacious, floor seating was well spaced out, and overall crowd flow felt efficient. Everything seemed clearly managed, and it didn’t feel overwhelming once inside.nnOne thing to note is entry timing. There can be a bit of a lineup right when doors open, so it’s important to make sure you’re entering through the correct gate for your section to avoid unnecessary delays.nnOverall, the renovation is impressive. The venue now feels modern, functional, and thoughtfully designed, with a clear effort to improve the guest experience. A strong upgrade for Hamilton’s event scene, and a venue that now feels on par with much larger cities.
First time coming here & traveled from Toronto for the MGK concert.nOverall was Easy to get to, lots of parking near by and the upgrades were great! It was Clean and made a great use of the space and efficiency.nWe ate at the anchor bar around the corner and after seeing the concessions we would skip that entirely and just get food at the venue! Regardless of the premium prices I find value in having better food and being in the venue then waiting on slow service and below average food at a place near by. Also I love to see Cottage Springs as the main beverage sponsor!nAll the staff was friendly and helpful including the merch line which went but super quick.nSound quality in the venue was also better than expected !!nTraffic was a bit congested when leaving but that was to be expected and as soon as we go to the highway it was smooth sailing.nOverall, would definitely come here again for another concert !
First time inside after the reno, it's been many years. Concourse was darkened, no longer a flashbang across the arena if the curtain was pulled aside. Beer gardens were modern minimalist and inviting with a broader selection than expected. Pizza was good and fresh, bounds over usual stadium fare. Washrooms were plentiful but could use more stalls, less urinals.
Went to the TD Coliseum to watch Matt Rife and to get into the place was easy. They had staff guiding everyone. Made it easy and smooth to get in. They serve food and drinks. My only complaint is the seating. I got floor seats and paid good money to be there and felt squished. Hard to move and to get up for others to pass by to get to there seats. There was times the row had to leave the row just for others to get to there seats.
