Well, I was lucky enough to have my hair cut by a beautiful woman named Yen who paid excellent attention to my unruly head of hair (I look like an extra from a 70's movie when it's time to get a haircut). She was so methodical and patient not to rush, and even added a bit extra trim when it still seemed a bit long in the back. It was I think, the most relaxing haircut I ever received. I'll definitely be going back to this location. Thanks again for a great experience Yen :)

The girl that cut my hair I'm sure is long gone but my experience there was awful. I always took our kids there and there was no problems. First I explained to her what I wanted and how my bangs were and how I wanted them cut...Told her twice. When I got home I was so upset!! My bangs were a mess and I was going on a trip in a few days. I looked like I was from the 1930's with those bangs.There was no fixing them. That place very quickly became my "Last Choice!"

My first time here my hair cut was fine the lady was nice, the problem was when she was done cutting it she let me leave with wet hair... It was February -30 degrees outside and she didn't blow dry my hair after the cut. I thought, ah well maybe it was a one time thing, I had seen other people leaving there with dry hair. The second (and last) time I went, the girl again was very nice, and all I had asked for was a trim... And again I left with a wet head of hair (at least this time it was summer) so not impressed again but hey maybe they were busy? But when I went home and dried and straightened my hair I noticed she had completely missed some pieces!! In at least 3 spots I had pieces of hair an inch longer than the rest! I had to cut off those pieces myself with scissors at home! Sorry but an unfinished job is NOT worth 25$ plus tip! So yeah, not going back, not recommending to anyone ever.

I have been a client of Kathy's for years. From the first day I've stepped in it was like I became a first choice family. I always get treated with respect and the staff are friendly and good to their clients. I personally only deal with Kathy because she knows my hair color and does an amazing job. I come all the way from merrickville to come to this particular location because i always leave with a smile on my face. When I am sitting in the chair for a long period of time, Kathy knows how to make the time pass by simple conversations. Kathy makes first choice haircutters a great place to be and I don't see myself going anywhere else but the elmvale location. Thank you Kathy for all that you do :-)
