The cake here tastes really good. Not too sweet like other places. And texture of the cake is nice too. First couple times I went, my order was missing and I couldn't check because the lady who works at the counter would tape the cake in the box without showing or telling me how many I'm getting. Owner or manager saw my complain on google and gave me free cakes. And this time the lady checked with me how many cakes I'm getting and put the cakes in front of me so I was able to check. excellent service and food.
The best way to describe the look and taste of their cakes is likening it to a food scene in an anime cartoon where you see the cutest prettiest cakes that look so good while cartoon characters dig into them so happily and you are like wow... I wish... That was exactly the experience I had. The Lychee rose tart looked gorgeous and was garnished with real flower petals and it tasted as good as it looked! Fruity with fresh cloud like cream and a buttery crisp crust. The strawberry chiffon cake was fluffy and creamy with fresh crisp strawberries. It tasted as good as it looked like a cartoon scene but in real life. The cream so light yet rich. Very impressed.
Cute place across Richmond centre. I bought a strawberry chocolate cake, strawberry macaroon and a Matcha sesame cake. The quality of the cakes are top notch and not overly sweet. I also saw interesting flavours like lychee rose tart and early grey fig. I intend to visit again to try them!
OMG this place is AMAZING! I have to give it a 5 star because it has become my new favorite. Can’t stop thinking about the tarts. The crust is just so very crunchy and it is so flavorful. Right amount of sugar level, sweet enough to enlighten my days but not too sweet to make me feel guilty. I was debating if I should leave my comments here because I don’t want to compete with too many people to get those limited items! But what can I say? This place deserves more people to know.
Bought their soy milk chiffon and earl grey chiffon home to try and they were both moist and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the soy milk one as I found it milky and rich but the dango was already hard when I brought it home : Cute little cafe but prices are definitely overpriced for what it is.
I ordered a birthday cake through DM. I ordered a rose lychee cake. Was pretty easy to order. The cake tasted delicious. The cream and ingredients tasted fresh. Some small flaws with the design, crooked lines for example. But luckily near the back of cake. The price is definitely on the higher side, close to 90 for simple 6”. Taking off a star because when I went to pick up the cake, the girl at the counter DID NOT speak English. I gave her my name and number, and she didnt understand. She didn’t even understand numbers… i then tried to ask if the cake requires to stay in the fridge until it is served, or if I should take it out earlier. She did not understand. Please hire people that speak English. Even though it is Richmond, workers should atleast speak basic english.
I loved the Fig & Earl Grey Cake. It had perfect texture, excellent flavour, and cute presentation. I would like to try more items from them. Too bad, all macarons were sold out for xmas. Will definitely order one box for myself later.
The first choice for the customized birthday cake staffs were always kind and helpful
This is a 3.5 place, honestly. I could tell that the place used to be extremely cute before Corona, but now it's a tad bit bare with desks piled up next to the pretty window. A single small slice of cake costed 10$, and though I did not order a cake, my friend made a face when she ate it and told me that it tasted like "mint, peach, and wood mixed together." Note: They did not even ask if we needed forks, nor did we remember to ask them, so my friend had to eat it by hand. Partially our fault, but a good thing to know for the future. I ordered a tiramisu latte, and to my disappointment, it was just a plain latte. There are two cookies on top of the latte with some cream covered in coco powder, but that was it. Nothing really struck me as special about this place. There are a ton of other places which have much better cakes at a cheap price. I will not be back.
Cute decor, a bit sparse but cute and the service was good. Got the chocolate chiffon cake. It was just okay. Nothing too special in appearance or flavor. A bit too expensive for what it is at $8.50 a slice of cake it was only marginally better than a similar cake you can get at T&T for $3-4.
