Terrible experience on several occasions.. The servers are generally very nice and well mannered but the other departments not so much. Food is always served cold. Also a close friend of mine has his tips with held from him as a "punishment" this is unacceptable and should not be taken lightly. I am disgusted

Fionn MacCool's in Guelph has the most amazing Salmon and leek pie, where you can taste the pastry is made on site. Light, flaky, and delicious. We travelled to Orangeville, and I thought, I would like to have this again. The pastry was disappointing, in that it was chewy and heavy. However, the staff were very friendly, and attentive, and the rest of the food was good. This location remains at the level of ordinary pub restaurant, whereas the Guelph location has elevated themselves above this.

The food quality here had never disappointed. We have been dining here regularly over the last few years and have never had a sub par experience with the quality. I would classify their menu as high end comfort food with interesting variety. The only downside is, as because they are part of a conglomerate of brands, they are forced to change their menu, and as a regular customer this is always a gamble. Service is always decent, slightly above average. Special mention for the manager of the Orangeville location who has always been extremely personable, and genuinely interested in our experience. At the end of the day, Fionn is one of our go-to restaurants for our family of four. Never disappoints.
