Fantastic place, they have an ale for everyone. Food and service was the best. I'd say a great place to pop in alone or with a group I will definitely be back
Fantastic place! Our go-to local brewery. The standard brews are excellent and the rotating beers always bring something fresh. We've never had a bad dish and we've tried almost everything on the menu. Their mug club also comes with some awesome benefits. If your a local or just passing through, you have to give this place a try.
I read some of the poor reviews. I have never had a bad experience here and I have frequented the place many times. Sometimes the kids and I will play bean bags on the patio in the summer. Salads are good, grilled cheese, mac & cheese, bacon on a stick!, bratwurst, all very good. Beer is really good too and service has always been impeccable. They made a blueberry beer a few years ago. It was great. They always have a new beer or two on the menu. I'll give them a 5.
I have been several times. The building is great. It's very spacious and sleek. The food is average. Perfectly acceptable for soaking up some suds. The beers are pretty good. I have found a couple to be inconsistent. They had/have a Belgian Quad that was amazing, but then I tried it about six months later during another visit, and it wasn't good at all. I asked if the recipe had been changed, and the server said no. Oh well! This was over a year ago to be fair. There are plenty of other options here. Definitely worth a try!
One of my favorite Breweries in NW! I really love the location and interior design has huge windows that give you a great view of the town. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. They've got great food and seem to care about making it. Also as well as getting growlers of beer to bring home with you, you can also get a growler of their house made Root Beer! Which I did get and was super delicious. You've gotta check out FIgure 8 if you haven't yet.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing first-time experience here on Valentine's Day. The staff was very, very friendly, the atmosphere was perfect for the two of us, but the real surprise was the food and drink. We loved the "Date Night" brew, and thoroughly enjoyed the "Bacon on a Stick," which literally melts in your mouth. We both ordered the Valentine's Day special, which included a flank steak and crab-filled Mac and Cheese for $14 that was worth every penny. Overall, we loved the food and drink, enjoyed the atmosphere, and felt that the price was very good for all that we consumed like monsters that night. I definitely recommend this place for the young and old alike!
Beers OK. But there are other much better tasting and more inventive craft options in Porter county. They do have a great location and interesting food. Their support of the community is surprisingly low. So if you want to drink local because they support local, spend your money elsewhere.
Worst food I’ve eaten in the region, and the service wasn’t any better. Some how in an empty restaurant at lunch time, and waitress was no where to be found. Vampire slayer burger was chard, greasy, and some one thought it was a good idea to cover it in minced garlic. Tasted like I ate a garlic clove, and I like garlic. Also my wife had the chicken tacos and just cold and gross. After waitress returned fifteen minutes later to check on food, and seemed insulted about my comment on the burger. Don’t worry because when she showed up another fifteen minutes later with check she said she would take care of the burger and the macaroni order she had messed up, and just not very friendly. If I could I’d give them zero stars
Nice place, but the beer is just okay. With so many exceptional brewpubs popping up, a rebranding and reassessment of what they are trying to do might help make them be more competitive in the completely saturated beer and local brewpub game. Worth a stop, but there are better options out there in my opinion.
We don't live in Valpo, but when we go to the dunes we make a point to stop here. The patio is dog friendly, and the servers are obviously dog lovers! The food and beer are both great! Everything made in house and it shows!
