A weird experience. We arrived at 5 and were the first table, only two more tables were seated in the next 20 minutes. We ordered two pasta dishes. Over thirty minutes later, ensued an awkward dining experience. The waiter brought my friend’s food saying it would go bad waiting for the other dish to be ready. My friend finished their food waiting for mine to be ready. The chef brought my dish, all smiles, saying sorry it was all his fault and walks away. Meanwhile, the dance party music plays in the background….
We have been going to Ferraro’s for over 4 years and we have never been disappointed with our experience. They treat their guests like family and their food is amazing. Their new location is is stunning and fits their style so well. This is a place you want to come, sit and enjoy. Thank you for bringing us into your family Kim and Bjorn
Best pasta I have ever had. Tomahawk steak melted in your mouth like butter- incredible! Service was great as well- waitress was attentive and very friendly. Also, my daughters Gluten free bread and pasta was amazing too….it was just as good as the stuff with gluten. Highly recommend this restaurant
Some of you may know me from some of my other colorful reviews that I do here But this review is nothing but serious But this review is nothing but serious I have been in the hotel restaurant industry for many years I've even seen my fair share of Italian kitchens. I will make this review Very short into the point. If you enjoy real Italian food with an ambiance And a feel about the place that is Airdries best dinning experience no BS, Ferraro is where you want to go. Nowhere in Calgary can you get what they have to offer. Thas it that's all I'm telling you. I don't have to say a another word. Just go, see for yourself and enjoy! Parking: Ample
This place is fantastic. Their pizza is original with the best toppings and cheese. We have tried 5 of them over the last month. A few nights ago we went in for pasta. That was the best pasta I've ever had. They made an appy that wasn't even on the menu because I wanted to try it. They are a mom and pop shop who deserve your business because they actually care about the quality of their food.
Mom and I went here for a birthday dinner, and were blown away by how amazing the food and service were. This is incredible Italian food, and our server Melissa was outstanding. Having an owner like Manny who cares about his customers really adds to your dining experience. The ambience of the restaurant makes it a warm and welcoming environment. I wish we had discovered this place sooner, but this will be a regular excursion for us now. Thanks again Manny and Melissa for making our first experience there so wonderful. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF!!!!!
If you love Italian food, this is the place to be!!! Despite living in Calgary, I always drive up to Airdrie whenever I want Italian food. Manny and Nyla are such kind and generous owners, and I am always treated with the utmost care whenever I visit! The spaghetti alle vongole must pre-order is out of the world, as is everything else honestly - The freshly homemade pasta makes a huge difference!! The food is super authentic and made with so much love and everyone needs to visit this incredible place!! They also offer a pasta making class on the weekend and it's so much fun! Grazie mille!!!!
If I could give them more stars I would! We arrived really late on a Thursday night and they accepted us with open arms. The food was outstanding! We had been before and every time we go we try something new, and every time it gets better and better. The owners are such nice people and the waiters are genuine and fun. They make the pasta from scratch there, so yummy. They took us on a tour and showed us a new lovely room in the back for families with kids, such a great idea. Now we can have a date night away from kids or take them and not feel like I'm bothering someone on a date night.
My boyfriend and I went here on a romantic date, first in a while. When we got here the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, even offering us w what they suggested would go great with the wine we tried. But the food, that was incredible. Some of the best food we ever had, and one of the first times we didn’t take home leftovers. All and all an amazing experience with amazing people and amazing food. If there were more stars, we’d give it a 10/5!
Lovely ambience. Small menu which is fine, in my opinion. Good wine list. Great breads and homemade pastas. Service was a tad inexperienced, but still very pleasant. We didn’t try dessert, as our server dropped off the dessert menu then didn’t check on us for 20 minutes, but the menu looked great. We’ll chalk the service issues up to a weeknight with limited staff. The food was excellent, so that’s not a concern. As with any restaurant, repeated visits are necessary to make an informed opinion about the food and service levels over a period of time. We’ll be back on a weekend for a different dish with hopefully higher service standards. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking. Not always properly cleared of snow or ice, unfortunately. Might be the property manager’s issue, not the restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free pasta available, but +$7
