Story

Ferrante Picture Framing is a family run, total custom framing shop, which opened in 1992 by Joe Ferrante. Our store is located at 210 Niagara St., St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Our phone number is 905-646-2390, e-mail address is [email protected] and our web address is www.ferranteframing.com.

Joe Ferrante has been on both sides of the picture framing fence. In 1973 he began at a company called Framecraft LTD, which is a local whole sale company for the custom framing industry. There he learned the art designing, painting, staining, and making of the lengths of moulding which we use for our frames. Also how to cut, nail and assemble frames. Later on he went into a short partnership in 1985 with Accu-Art Picture Framing, then moved on in '92 on his own to form Ferrante Picture Framing.

Myself (Paul Ferrante) have been learning from my father since '85, and part-timed since '92, and then in 2000, went full time when my father and mother bought our final location at 210 Niagara St.

Well i guess custom framing is in our blood so to speak. Custom framing is not for everyone, it can be a very expensive process but once something is custom framed its done for life. Now with our market being flooded with cheap imported ready made frames and pictures, and more photographers/hobbiests/artists, true custom framing is a dying art.

So if you have something new, old, a family heirloom,college or university diploma large or small object or a simple photo we can frame it. Just like our slogan,
"you name it, we frame it!"
