Unprofessional nail polish remover. I have suffered nerve damage as a result of a gel manicure. My nail shells are damaged and thinning. I feel pain in my hands. Worse salon, so do not waste your money here and keep your nails safe!

Had made an appointment for eyebrow waxing and they called to tell me one of their salon girls got covid and they can’t see me for my already made appointment. Asked if I wanted to come the next day instead. I said no bc someone in your salon got Covid, i do not feel comfortable going. Don’t go here. Apparently they get sick with Covid and want you to come in the next day. Alarming more than anything else.

Pictured here are the nails I left this salon with. Did a drunken old man do them? Nope! Did a 2 year old do them? No! Did I do them blindfolded? Negative! They were done by a 'professional' at this salon and cost me about 60 bucks. Okay honestly it has taken me a while to decide if I wanted to write this review because typically I just let things go but what was done to me at the salon was not acceptable. I am unsure of the ladies name that did my nails btw So I went in asking for a certain style and I showed her the pictures of what I wanted ill include the exact picture for reference. She assured me that she was able to do this design. So she did one nail and it was horrible. I had to direct her on how to fix it and she made it look worse. She assured me that once she put the top coat on, it would fix everything ????????????????? so giving her the benefit of the doubt and praying she had a magical top coat that could bring my nails back from the dead I allowed her to finish all my nails. Once she put the top coat on, nothing changed shocker, I know and I was left with 10 sloppy looking nails. I was honest with her and I told her that I didn’t like them OBVIOUSLY and I wanted her to paint over them. BECAUSE WHAT IN GODS NAME IS THAT? HOW COULD I BE OKAY WITH THIS? So then she flat out refused and told me that if I still don’t like them by tomorrow, that I should come back and she would paint them for me.??????????????? She also noted that she also thought they looked bad!!! Not wanting to walk around with these claws for longer than I had to, I immediately went to a different salon where they LISTENED TO ME and painted over them as I requested. So... why am I writing this review? I don’t want other people to spend their hard earned money in an establishment that doesn’t listen to or treat their customers with the respect they deserve and are paying for Not only did I have to pay for the terrible job she did, I had to pay for someone to fix it. She knew she did an awful job and still charged me full price and that is not okay!!!!

I have been coming to Fashion Nails as long as I can remember. Anna is the best nail stylist in Ottawa and the services offered are very reasonably priced too. I always leave very happy with my new nails! I highly recommend!

Worst experience ever ! The woman who did my nails is literally crazy didn't want to restart again when i was not happy at all with the shape of my nails that looked all different !!! And also called in the security guy because tought i was not gonna pay. She basically just cared about her money and her other customers. She also started to get mad at me and threw her glasses on the floor. Worst experience ever !

Worse place I have ever been.. She did not do the shape I wanted I had to tell her 3 times what shape I want and she made my nails shorter then what I wanted and she wanted to keep making it short but I had to tell her to leave my nail alone 7 times. It was so bad I wanted to cry.. She first kept filing my nail and after a while I told her to stop because its starting to hurt she did not listen and she kept going to a point where I was convinced I had no more nails.. And on top of that I had to tell her more than 5 times to stop she just wouldnt listen.. The shape was wrong and she was using that filing machine on my skin to take off the nail polish!! Its called nail polish remover, I still cant believe she was using that machine on my skin. My nails hurt so much.. after 3 weeks I took them off and it was a nightmare. I was crying and my nails are in pain and they are all bleeding.. My nails are so thin that when I was taking off my fake nails my natural nail was coming off too how thin it was.. My nails are in pain now and I really hope they dont get infected.. I wont be able to wear nails for 2 months or more thanks to her. If I were you I wouldnt go here you will regret it it was the most horrible experience I have ever had.

I have had French gel nails for about 4 years and have gone to quite a few places for the work. For the last year I have been coming to see Anna for over a year and she has been by far the best. I highly recommend her.
