Do not choose her because She deceived people. She had changed her procedure since she established her own clinic. She try not to send people to specialist and convince them to buy the drugs she suggest from the pharmacy placed at her clinic. Moreover I believe she has not enough experience in her field. My wife was pregnant and had some serious problem but she does not pay attention to her problem. we changed our family doctor and new doctor told my wife was about to abortion. I suggest do not choose her as your family doctor.
Best doctor ever in Vancouver, extremely professional and puts great care and love into her practice. Follow ups with her are always pleasant! Her genuine care for her patients is phenomenal I would definitely recommend others to try and see Dr. Famouri for any of your health care needs.
Honestly if I had the option to give this family doctor a negative review I would have cause that is what she deserves ! I had no issues with Dr. Famouri personally instead my issue was with her staff and services. She has 2 secretaries working for her that are extremely rude and unprofessional. They never address a patient with the propper manners such as a simple hello. If you don't say hi they don't even realize there is someone standing infront of them. Service is absolutely horrible. You have to wait between 30 - 45mins for your turn even when you are on time for your appointment. Everytime I have been at her office I have seen at least 1 patient getting into a verbal argument with the secretaries. Dr Famouri has taken on more than she can handle patient wise. She is extremely unorganized and has no management skills. But again the main reason I have chosen to give this review is due to her 2 employees. I believe if she had better and experienced employees she wouldnt be facing this issue. They just have no concept of what or how to behave when sick patients walk into the clinic. Patients need to be treated with respect and warmth. A simple hi and how are you goes a long way to make someone feel better. How uneducated do you have to be not to be able to perform the simple tasks of a secretary?!!! Dr. Famouri if you ever get a chance to read this review I highly recommend that you get rid of your 2 employees working for you. They are making you look extremely unprofessional and they only care about themselves. They have no concept of customer service AT ALL ! My 5 year old poddle has better customer service skills than them. I say again Dr Famouri this is not personal I know you are a good person and my intention is to make you aware of what is affecting your business. Thank you P.S. it's not hard to get good reviews. All you have to do is to get your friends and family to right you a good review for ratings. Which I know for a fact that most of the good reviews are from your friends and family!!
Dr Famouri is a wonderful, kind and compassionate doctor. I switched to her when my GP retired and after interviewing a few different GPs in west vancouver I was disappointed in their level of care. Dr. Famouri put all the other GPs I saw to shame. She always follows up with her patients. On some occasions she has been running early and I have been seen before my appointment time. She is very thorough and always makes an effort to look at all the options for treatmebt. She is proactive and friendly. I couldn't ask for a better GP. I am so thankful to have found her.
morning, rush to a walk in and beg them to provide me one. It was such a hassle. And she never even apologized. In our most recent appointment, Dr. Famouri misspelled a test and she did not provide me a test that she has always provided me. Testing I was shown to be high in. She told me I have to pay for it because the province does not pay anymore, even though I receive Ontario health care, not from BC. I went to Life Labs and was informed of the mistakes. I had to come back, I waited until Dr. Famouri was done with her patient as I was told to do. When Dr. Famouri came out and the receptionist tried to explain the mistake, she ushered her to fix it, walked away while I was talking to her and slammed her office door to see her next patient. I was understandably frustrated at this point, because all she had to do was put the appropriate spelling/changes and sign the requisition. This wasn’t right on my part, but I was frustrated and went over to knock on her door. Her assistant put her hands on me twice to stop, at no point did I put my hands on her which she later apologized for. When Dr. Famouri came out she told me to go into a room if I wanted to talk. She was about to go see yet ANOTHER patient until I told her this wasn’t fair…. I already waited my turn and now she was wasting so much of my time. When we went inside, she started yelling. I tired to speak and she would talk over me. She said that she has to speak first. When she was done, and I tried to speak she didn’t listen, interrupted me the whole time, and didn’t take responsibility for ANYTHING. I asked her if she could get off her laptop when I was speaking to her, she said she was taking notes for this incident and documenting everything. She said I could record the conversation even though I didn’t want to take it there. I literally told her all I wanted was a simple apology and she said, “Apology for what, I didn’t do anything.” She was condescending and rude. She yelled at me and when I told her to stop yelling she replied, “You yelled outside, I can yell too, I am mad!” Her receptionist was very kind afterwards and understood where I was coming from regarding the incident. This is a supposedly educated doctor. After my own account and reading others’ reviews I have this to say: Dr. Famouri, if your patients have accounts of you being rude, mean, and discourteous, maybe it’s not them that’s the problem - perhaps the problem is you. Maybe it’s time you take responsibility for your behaviour. This is important, especially as a doctor, a noble profession that is meant to serve others and provide health care, and an educated member of society.
My family doctor for more than 3 years has been Dr. Sanaz Famouri and I have nothing to say just absolute satisfaction. She has all the requirements a physician should have such as, actual up-to-date professional knowledge, great personality, patient care and communication skills.... Highly recommended
I am a new patient and have to say Sanaz is wonderful, she's on time, considerate and gets to the point quickly. She also approves refills on prescriptions I take regularly that my previous Dr would not allow. She has a very kind demeanor and I'm thrilled her clinic is across the street from my home! Not sure why would anyone give dr famouri low rate. We moved away and we still have her as family doctor. She is professional and caring, and most importantly she actually listens to what you have to say. Most other doctors are always in rush and underestimating your problems.
She is a heartless and unprofessional doctor. On jan 10/2019 i had a triple by pass open heart surgery. I was released from hospital on jan 15. Starting on jan16th i started vomiting and having diarrhea and i could not eat anything for two days and i had a lots of stomach pain. On jan18 when my assigned nurse came to see me, she said i should see my family doctor right away. So my wife called and the receptionist said doctor can´t see any more patient, but when my nurse talked to the receptionist and explained my situation she said then come to clinic. My situation was so bad and i had no energy to walk and i even could not open my eyes. With all the difficulties we were at her west van clinic at 12:40. Doctor had a patient in her cabin and one more was waiting in the waiting area. So with my bad condition we waited for 40 minutes and when she was finished with her last patient we saw her putting her jacket and leaving the office. So my wife stopped her and asked her if she is going to check me. She just looked at me and said i have already told you guys i don´t have the time to see any more patient. My wife begged her to see me as i have just come out of a heart surgery and i can not move to go to another clinic. But she did not care and left me behind. My health condition was so bad that day that i thought i will die. So my wife with the help of a stranger lifted me up and dragged me to the car and my wife took me to a walking clinic in lonsdale. As a doctor they have the obligation to see the patient when they are in stress. I have been thinking since then what a heartless person she is that she could walk away on me and not bodering what might happen to me. Anyone reading this posting please consider having a different family doctor because this might happen to you.
She's one the best doctors ive ever seen ,I moved to Langley few years ago,but still I drive there all theway to noth van, I highley recommend her to anyone however is looking for a family dr,I really like her not just bcz shes a knowledgeable dr, I like her personality, understanding and patience.
