Story

Evelyn Geatros of Fairview Electrolysis Clinic is the first to say hers is a “hairy business”. In business since 1987 and treating men and women of all ages, Evelyn finds her business extremely rewarding. She has been fortunate to work on celebrities both in film and music, including Celine Dion. People have flown in as far as Germany and Amsterdam for her electrolysis services. She loves the challenge, and the results of what she does allows her to see peoples’ quality of life and self confidence levels improve immensely.

Noting that electrolysis is not just for the face, Evelyn also specializes in post-op treatment on trans-gendered individuals. She also specializes in large areas of hair removal such as bikini lines, full legs and services for men including the back area.

She further stresses the importance of having an electrologist who will take the time to explain the permanence of hair removal in terms of procedure and end goals.

Evelyn’s work requires patience, dexterity and excellent listening skills, “Hair removal is a very personal thing that is often life altering in a positive sense," she says, "and it is relevant to be able to listen to people and make their expectations a reality. A sense of humour is also a good thing to have on your side."
