I have been seeing Dr DeRosa for only four months after my Doctor of 22 years resigned. I’ve rated her five stars because so far I am completely satisfied with her prognosis and diabetic treatments. She is very sweet and shows concern. She immediately has her nurse call me with test results and to arrange appointments if necessary. So far I have no complains.
Worst Medical Professional I have ever met, after a lifetime of chronic medical issues. From the time my WONDERFUL doctor resigned w/out notice after 8 years w/him & DeRosa took over my care, I’ve gone from the most stable place in my life to being completely bedridden. She didn’t read my entire medical file, inaccurately profiled me, refused to speak with a specialist and removed a stabilizing medication I’d been on for 20 yrs w/out consulting a specialist familiar w/the medication & it’s purpose, then ordered incorrect tests and made incorrect and useless referrals. Grievance filed against her and fired her as my doctor.
After my doctor of many years retired, I migrated to Dr. Across. She's empathetic, a superb active listener, and I'm thoroughly pleased with the quality of care I'm receiving from her.
For someone who’s incredibly familiar as a receptionist and who deals with clients coming late and no showing all the time, I’m incredibly disappointed. I understand showing SIX TO EIGHT minutes late falls on me and had expected other patients to go first, and wait longer..However, I’m infuriated that I was refused to be seen at all, for that matter. I had even called and waited on hold for about 9 minutes to let the girls know I was running a few behind in route 37 construction and by the time someone had even picked up I was about to hang up and pulling into the parking lot. The receptionist put me on hold, and said “let me see if she’ll still see you” which honestly probably took longer then just checking me in. As I said, I’m familiar with booking appointments, scheduling, and so on as I do this also.. so I’m frustrated as a single mom, who’s found childcare and took a day off to do this, even though I’d been a few minutes behind, I was completely refused and not even asked to hang out and wait, AT ALL.. What makes it worse is this appointment was originally scheduled for May with my doctor who had retired and was asked to push it out four months, now I’m being refused for a few mins late, and asked to move up until November or December while I’m in the parking lot. Which in that case I’m not really getting an annual physical to address my concerns, it’s practically disregarding it. I’m I understand doctors get behind, as do mine... but it wasn’t 15 or 20, or a no show, it was a few minutes stuck in construction trucks and trying to call to make the front desk aware, it’s not about patient care after all. I will not be returning.
