Story

At Ezra’s Pound, our commitment to excellence is unwavering. We are relentless in bringing you the most innovative, environmentally forward, take-out packaging, and the highest quality, low-impact, responsibly grown and processed coffees on the planet.

The Pound is on the leading edge of coffee roasting and espresso extraction in the city, our staff receives months of initial training and ongoing skill refinement. Our fresh roasted, organic, fair-trade, and Smithsonian certified bird-friendly coffees make it to your cup within hours, not weeks or months after roasting. All our coffee is available for wholesale and to take home and enjoy on your home equipment.

Proof that environmentally responsible business works, we continue to produce one bag of garbage per week - diverting all else to recycling and compost. We do not purchase excessively packaged products or work with companies that do not adhere to our environmental standards. We only use organic milk and sugar and were the first café in Toronto to offer (and still continue to use) biodegradeable coffee cup lids.

Since our inception in 2007, we’ve opened our Dundas West location, and as of July 2010, we’ve proudly launched The Espresso Institute of North America Inc. Toronto’s first, full service, barista training and café/restaurant consulting coffee education facility.
