Ordered the pork belly rice meal and the cauliflower. The cauliflower was banging! Nice crust around the cauliflower and good flavours. Was looking forward to trying the pork belly, however, it was a little on the salty side… not bad overall! Would like to try other items next time.
Best Pork Belly I have ever tried. As a chef I can tell how well they cook each item on their menu. Egg was on point as well. Crispy Cauliflower is phenomenal. The flavors had me close my eyes and took me to the heart of Asia. Portion sizes are great for the price. Every part of the meal including the jasmine rice speaks quality and passion for great quality food. Thank you Chef!
So far I have tried three pork belly dishes. The pb poutine, the pb and tiger cauliflower and the Pork Belly meal. The poutine was good, their tater tots are fantastic, and the pork belly is the star. The pb and tiger cauliflower on a bed of rice is fantastic, but save some rice and cauliflower for breakfast in the fridge or get some extra specifically for that purpose because as great as it is freshly served, it is a revelation in the morning. Now onto my favorite of the three, the pork belly meal. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed this. The pork belly, the julienne fresh market stir fried vegetables on a bed of rice with pan gravy on the side. Wonderfully balanced, everything just hit perfectly. And I almost forgot, the coconut creme brule was a fitting end to beautiful experience.
Wow. After wandering around the Avenida food market trying to decide what to eat, I kept coming back to Expatasia. The Singapore rice with pork belly was unreal. Pork really crisp, rice was spicy but not overwhelming. The best thing I've eaten in a very long time. And a great portion for the price. Will definitely be back for more!
Jeff catered a social event in my company 40 ppl. He helped me to desgin the menu and even to organize the table with printed labels during my event :. He also came to check the venue before the event- The food is just exquisite! and very well presented. All my colleagues went for seconds and there were almost no leftovers! The stars were definitely the Pork belly and the Tiger Cauliflower! I recommend them 100%
I tried the crack and cauli and it was delicious. The pork belly was crispy and tasty. The cauliflower was nice and saucy. Mix it all together and it’s amazing!
Jeff and Joel, thank you for catering the RSVP Xmas event. Wonderful Crispy Cauliflower and Spiced Nuts appetizers. The Pork Belly was great, but totally loved the Beef Rendang and Thai Vegetable Curry. Thank you also for the incredible and tasty substitute meal for my husband. Great service and outstanding food. I highly recommend this restaurant for people who want an Asian food experience. Thanks also to Sips Wine and Bar who were knowledgeable beverage purveyors and kept us topped up for the evening. Lynne
Ate here today and tried the pork belly. I am doing keto right now and he said the pork belly with glass noodles would be keto friendly. I will see if I am still in ketosis tomorrow. I found the meat very tasty and well prepared. The crispy side was delightfully crunchy. If I had a crunchy giant bowl full... I would not be able to leave it alone. The glass noodles were on the greasy side but still tasty. The food I would give a strong 4 stars and with a salad I could likely make it a 5. I did find the proportion to be small for the price >$18. This is a low 3 so on balance for my first meal I have ranked a 3. Fortunately my diet made me not care. I felt that a good salad with the small portions would of made it a well balanced meal. Good building to head into to try a wide variety of foods. I would love to review the entire menu but alas... not until my diet is done.
Gluten Free Gluten Free Gluten Free Minutes from south centre.. The whole restaurant is gluten -free!! Incredible Service, incredible Food
The best authentic Singapore glass noodles with crispy pork belly. I haven’t eaten pork for two years as part of my change of diet but when I saw those deliciously well prepared pork belly, brought back a lot of good memories from Asia that I have to try it. And you guys did not disappoint. The glass noodles taste so delicious especially when it’s spicy. A must try. Please try expatasia when you visit Avenida. The best in town.
