Visited due to recent BlogTO post about Eskenita having unique Filipino style street food and brunch style dishes. The food is freshly made to order and portion sizes are good for their price. Recommended to try their Silog or rice dishes as a brunch option in the area.
Very reasonably priced combos and just the right portion size for one person. One problem I have with north American takeout is that the portion size is always too big, not a problem here. It is actually what a reasonable person would eat.
Food was delicious. We ate on a Sunday lunch at 12 noon. Spent $70 liemposilog, siomai, bbq, Pinoy hotdog, balut, isaw, chicken inasal and beef soup, 2 nestea. With our order we did not wait long for food to arrive. Great Tasting Food and Great Service. I believe it was the owner man who was serving the food/cashier. Kind to even take a photo of me and my husband with the food. They also played nice Pinoy music in the background. My Taiwanese Colleague recommended this place. As a Filipino, I would recommend this place too.
Great place to try Philippine street food. The skewers are great with the gizzards, intestine, and hotdog as the stand outs. Small place tucked away in a a plaza with many other choices, so it’s easy to miss; but once you try it, it’ll quickly make its way into your rotation.
Known for their Flip street food mainly their BBQ sticks. The Pork BBQ and Isaw, and tapa in the Tapsilog were good but we were left wanting on the others that we ordered. The servings were small 5 bites for their Kikiam, the Bangsilog bangus was also small, the Turon wrapping was too thick and fried in oil that's not too fresh, the Taho didn't taste like taho at all and wasn't freshly made - the sago was barely there and the sugar used wasn't the right one. Good spot to go to when craving Fil-style BBQ and the concept is great but they need to improve their serving sizes and taste profiles. Pricing IMO is also about $2 higher than where it should be for entrees and Halo-Halo is $9 ? with ice cream when compared to other Fil-spots in the GTA.
One of the best Filipino Foods. Specially the pork isaw and siomai. The owner itself is nice and accommodating. Prices are reasonable and its worth to wait. I would recommend this restaurant.
I was excited to visit the place cause i thought its good we spend almost $80 and its not worth it, i was disappointed so bad especially the TAHO, will not visit this place anymore.
Pancit Palabok so tasty! Also gave lemon juice on the side but didn’t need
This Filipino Restaurant is way under rated. The servers/cook/owner especially not sure who he is but he has a deconstructed Philippine Flag on his forearm. I usually order via ubereats/doordash but today i ordered party tray. I ordered Salted Egg hoping to make it with Tomatoes and Onions. He went above and beyond to put all the ingredients in a styrofoam container and that’s a small thing for other people but that’s great. Thats an amazing thing so thoughtful. Thank you so much!
Authentic Filipino food, delicious skewers made to order. Dont forget to try the halo halo, gifts from the heavens !
