Rented ebikes from Escape for 4 hours booked on line. Bikes were ready for us when we arrived. We received great service and directions on a route that took us along the canal and back along the river. We had a great time! Bikes worked perfectly! We even stopped for lunch at a pub on the way back. In hindsight, we should have rented the bikes for the entire day…Ottawa is a great city to tour by bike. Highly recommend renting from Escape.
My husband and I really enjoyed our bike tour today, Ottawa is a gorgeous city to explore by bike. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of all the sites we visited. The bikes are top notch and the helmets, water bottles and snack supplied hit the spot. Next time I’m renting an E-Bike as it makes the ride so pleasant! Well done!!
Rented some e-bikes and had a wonderful time riding along the canal and city seeing the tulips. The motor also helped with any hills and the frequent stopping and starting to enjoy the gardens and views. Would definitely recommend! The staff were very nice as well and made sure we had a map and helmet and answered any of our questions
We had a magical bike tour with Sparky this morning. Could not have dreamt up a better experience. Informative, fun and zippy! The absolute perfect way to see Ottawa in 2hrs. Maria the proprietor is awesome and she certainly gets the best guides! If you're going to Ottawa this is a must-do to kickoff your visit!
We had a lovely private tour for the family today. Sparky our tour guide was amazing. She was knowledgeable, fun and very accommodating as we had a couple of kids with us. She also took some amazing pictures. We covered a lot of ground on our 2 hour tour. Thanks again. My kids loved it and I learned a lot.
Great scenic bike tour of Ottawa. We saw some historic sights and biked to beautiful parks and along the river. Lovely way to see the town and the staff is great.
We had a terrific guided tour around Ottawa which set us up well for the rest of the week on our rental bikes. Great bikes. Great people. Made for a wonderful week of biking despite the weather!
I highly recommend renting E-bikes from Escape Bicycle Tours & Rentals! A person can cover an amazing amount of ground in just a few hours! There is so much to see! Ottawa and the surrounding area is filled with bicycle friendly paths along the Rideau Canal, beautiful neighborhoods, farm land, parks, bridges and breathtaking views of Parliament! With the Alexandria Bridge nearby, Gatineau, Quebec is just minutes away boasting even more bike paths! The owner was kind enough to make a few suggestions by highlighting bicycle friendly pathways on a city map. It was the greatest time we've had in a very long time! We went back two days later to rent again! In my daughter's own words, "I feel a wonderful sense of freedom on this bicycle!" I would later discover just how relevant her observation was after discovering Maria, the shop owner, and her passion for bicycling! I advise renting for an entire day. You will not be disappointed!
The bicycles we rented were solid and comfortable. Service was fast and pick-up and return fast and painless. Recommended for a nice bike tour around and in Ottawa.
Our group was celebrating our 50th anniversary since graduation in engineering. We decided on a bike tour. We had about 13 or 14 participants. Maria and her group was able to accommodate us all with bikes of various sizes both manual and electric. We had two excellent group leaders who provided both a scenic tours and wonderful stories and history of the Capital area. It was a great day thoroughly enjoyed aby everyone.
