Erie County Medical Center Psychiatry

Dr. Seung-Kyoon Park is a very disrespectful, sexist, and condescending doctor. It exemplifies the stature of the hospital to have a man like that as a head doctor of the psychiatric facility. They continuously use illegal scare tactics into getting the patients to stay at their facility. Dr. Park has the tenancy to manipulate his patients, and mentally abuse them into taking unnecessary medication under his observation. Speaking with him even man to man, he has terrible bedside manners and no concern for the patient what so ever. He justifies his methods as "it works for everyone" and "we just need to increase the dose and see if your side effects go away". His immediate go-to prescription is 'Lithium' which had horrible side effects for my loved one who was under his care. He still verbally fought with me, the patient, and her mother, to keep her on Lithium even though she was experiencing health risking side effects. Since ECMC shows its true valor in this way, I will continue to voice my opinion VIA social media so that others can avoid Dr. Seung-Kyoon Park, and his out dated methodology.

I was Admitted to ECMC and It started out as the best experience for me. When I was scheduled to leave they held me until therapy appointments were scheduled.
