Don't go here. Not worth it. They downplay the severity of what happened, the nurses joke around, talk to each other and go on their phones. Instead of actually taking care of patients, they have happy hour. My partner went there by ambulance for hitting his head on concrete and was a fall risk. Waited in the waiting room after getting there, and I had to take him by wheelchair to his room myself, staff couldn't be bothered to do it. I was with him, considering my partner couldn't even remember our address or what day it was. The doctor told him he could kick me out the room if he wanted. Hit the call button to use the bathroom. Waited over 20 minutes, no one came. I had to get a wheelchair and take them myself. He was in a lot of pain, nauseous, dizzy, disoriented and sensitive to lights, smells, and noise. They told him he didn't meet the criteria for a head CT scan, but they had to check his neck so "they could maybe look at his head too" he had all the symptoms of a concussion and they dismissed him with an "acute headache". They told him he could have a note for 2 days out of work if he felt like he needed it. This place is a joke. If I had a choice, I would've taken them to buff general.
If I could give this hospital a zero rating, I would. I have been sitting here for over 5 hours with horrible dental pain from a tooth abscess. I haven't complained once but I did ask for a second ice pack to control the pain. The lady at the desk was annoyed by that and said "if we have any more". She found one and said "that's the last one". Patients from the waiting room were walking in the back and climbing into beds in the hallway because they lady at the desk was glued to her phone. Probably the same reason she was annoyed when I asked her to get me another ice pack. Terrible hospital. Unfortunately, the only reason I had to come here is because it's the only ED in our area that is all inclusive and could hopefully help me with my teeth pain and dental problems. Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll get much relief because I don't know how much longer I can stay here. Patients also walking around begging and demanding food and money for food.
Just horrible!!!! Waited 7 hours and they forgot to ask basic questions, made me wait saying they were backed up and stuff. The nurse was out gossiping away. I would not recommend any sane person to ever go there to waste their time.
If I could give zero stars I would. After waiting over 10 hours my mother in law is still waiting to be seen. The day shift staff in the waiting area with one in particular was extremely rude and unprofessional towards patients waiting to be seen. But if you came in drunk or on drugs you were seen immediately. As a retired ECMC nurse I was embarrassed at the quality of care in the waiting area. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
Came here at 7:30am. I have Mono feels like I'm swallowing glass. Bad earache. Fever Swollen glands it is now 4:49pm. They took many people who came way after me. Still waiting... Horrible me and took them first.
Most current visit with Amanda Chauncey. Horrible medical service with this PA. Judgmental and rude. Would not acknowledge my previous or ongoing medical conditions. Wrote incorrect prescriptions, even though noted in previous and current conditions. Wrote inaccurate medical discharge paperwork which I followed up on. Please do not see this PA at the ER at ECMC or any facility.
DO NOT GO THERE! go to a primary care, a dentist, a random surgeon, idc who just not ecmc. Went there for a tooth infection. Waited an hour for the nurse who said they will only give me pain meds and antibiotics. Then i waited to get told they dont have any rooms available. There was a line of people ahead of me that made it quite clear id be waiting all night. They complained about how long they were waiting. Some of them had been waiting forever hours and sti werent called. It became clear then id be there overnight just to get medicine. Id rathergo to a dentist and possibly have to pay then wait any longer. There were people in wheelchairs and on oxygen who were left to wait too. Last time i was there for being abused and had a long wait then too. 5 hours before i was seen and not given anything.
9/6/22 I have been sitting in the ER for about 5 1/2 hours now and have not been seen! People before me and after me are gone! I have an object stuck in throat, can’t talk or even drink a sip of water! Great TRIAGE SYSTEM they have here! Absolutely Aweful!
I was here for 14.5 hour in the ER waiting room and i had a hard time breathing and feel lightheaded, coughing, and a fever of a 102 degree. I was brought in by a ambulance because of my breathing and i fell and my dog woke me up. SO DON'T GO TO ECMC.At the end of the visit they told me I have covid 19.
The hospital keeps deleting my reviews on Google, which should be telling enough. My roommate was admitted as a diabetic to the CPep portion of the hospital and received the type of treatment you'd expect for a criminal. No blankets allowed, no regular meals.... the nurses asked him more than once what type of diabetic he was, often providing incorrect meals during is 6day mandatory hold at CPep. At one point he sat for 3-4hours on the e1dge of ketacidosis, of "acidic blood" because they were refusing him insulin. And when the nurses were done dealing with patients, everyone got a nice hefty dose of Valium to put them to sleep, whether or not it was prescribed. Every patient was given a different trade name when being dosed my roommate was told Ambien, but the chart says Valium. He tried to deny it and was not allowed to, under threat of having to stay longer. Family and friends on call lists for patients and ignored and lied to about patient statuses and the floors they are being kept on. The list goes on. If your family or friends need help, take them ANYWHERE ELSE. NOT HERE. DO NOT GO HERE. HE IS AFRAID TO SEEK HELP AGAIN. and you can keep deleting my reviews, but I will keep posting them. To site after site. I have all your names written down nurses.... and I'm pursing suing your hospital. This is the 3rd person I know with this experience or similar in CPep and I WILL NOT LET IT GO.
