I rented a car a few months back for 2 days, I called a few weeks before to make sure I had a rental for an important meeting in Halifax. I showed up and they were just giving rental vehicles to people who showed up first didn’t matter if you had it reserved. long story short they took a dirty car to another location to clean because they didn’t have room at this location to clean another car so when yhe rental showed up it was not clean and had a strong odor of urine. Now I’m getting calls from a collection company saying I owe $98 lol this place is a joke
RENTER BEWARE - I do NOT recommend -SCAM:nFirst of all, Enterprise Crown Street will not have any vehicles to rent to you. So instead they'll give you a 2019 Ford truck with oil on the seats and squeaky suspension, rusted out wheels and a car that stinks of old cigars. It is likely a borrow/rescue from the collision center located in the same building and parking lot. It is that junk rental car or nothing to rent. The clerk even repeatedly told me it was an old truck. He was clearly embarrassed to have to provide this awful service. And here you are as the customer, eager for your trip, trying to be agreeable and make the best out of a terrible circumstance. I tried to swap it upon getting home at Rothesay Avenue by calling, but they had nothing. I then swapped it out at Crown Street the next day for a Mazda 3, delaying my trip for a few hours because I waited for them to open. The Mazda 3 had a check engine light that remained on for the entire trip. When I called on that concern after crossing the Harbour Bridge within minutes of getting it, I was told it was always there and to just ignore it. What I should not have ignored was my intuition about how off the whole rental was with both vehicles, predominantly with the truck.nPlease let my experience inform your decisions. If you DO decide to rent from this scam spot, do NOT leave the branch office without your rental agreement paperwork. Stay there until it is emailed to you, or request a papercopy, and best case definitely do both. A screenshot of the agreement will not suffice. I have a screenshot copy of having the Damage Waiver for the truck, but now they are saying I never had it and that the truck is damaged. Why would you assume you weren't protected if you have the proof? Well, I didn't have the actual agreement. I didn't wait to get my offical rental agreement. I was told it would be emailed. I never received it afterwards. So, I called them for it when I got home, and they promised to email it. They never did. Four weeks later they still cannot provide it at the branch. I think this is the case because the rental agreement was altered without my knowledge. And, of course, I recommend to photograph everything on and in the vehicles prior to leaving because the Damage Waiver isn't sufficient proof, just protect yourself from every angle. I now have a bill of almost $10,000 from them for the truck of damages that don't match the check in receipt when I checked the vehicle in the very next day. I have the check in receipt demonstrating that it doesn't match. That apparently doesn't matter to them. I initialed those damages under the assumption I was protected by the Damage Waiver.The damages on the check in receipt aren't even on the same side of the vehicle that the damage estimate claims. I am certain the damage was caused afterwards, OR this is what they do to make money off of their customers. I got an email from Damage Recovery that didn't care about my experience, or that I was misled. Even at first they too agreed on the phone that my screenshot proves I had the Damage Waiver into thinking I was covered. But then, suddenly via email I was informed my story changed, implying I was a liar. They just want you to shut up and pay. No one cared that I was unable to successfully obtain an email of the rental agreement. I am certain they never sent it to me to prevent me from protecting myself. My due diligence was I was silent that the truck was a junker, and leaving without my rental agreement in hand.nI should not have left the branch that day at all with that truck. I paid a high price for trying to be agreeable and not be a nitpicky customer. But, I highly recommend everyone protect themselves when deciding to give their business to Enterprise and this location. No one at the branch has gotten back to me about how this oversight could happen, even though I was reassured they were looking into it. I'm certain this is all a new business model for them to generate revenue. I learned a great lesson, and I hope I can prevent others from doing the same.
My husband and I have rented vehicles from Enterprise several times, and each experience has been exceptionally smooth. The staff is consistently welcoming and exceedingly helpful. They demonstrate a keen understanding of our requirements and consistently provide us with optimal solutions. Overall, our experiences with Enterprise have been nothing short of excellent.
They don't fulfill their reservation, they don't care about the customers. I received it 1 month ago, I went to the store 2 days before to confirm the reservation and pay. but 10 minutes before they call me to say they don't have a car. I HAVE A MAJOR TRIP and they don't care because they take in multiple people. Not trustworthy
