My father passed away and i spoke with both the receptionist and a gentleman named Salvador. They were both very helpful and explained what documents they would need from me in order to have his pension payments from Spain stopped. Excellent Staff!

We have been going to the Embassy of Spain for years when it comes to the legalization of documents. Consistency is key, and when new requirements come about, they let us know what we need to know, and we follow suit. Thank you very much. The ALSC Team

My wife and I will visit Portugal ( 10 days ) and Spain (18 Days ). Last Wednesday we went to the Spain Embassy in Ottawa to apply for tourist visa with skeptical mind after reading some of the negative feedback about their visa service. But to our pleasant surprise, the consul was very kind and he was very efficient also! Their fast visa visa service is the well beginning of our first to the two charming Iberian peninsula countries.

I went to register my daughter's as they have a claim to Spanish citizenship through their father. The man attending me was excellent. Very efficient as he helped me complete all the forms (not always obvious what was being asked).

There was only ever 1 person working at the embassy. They were always unpleasant and uninterested, and always seemed very bothered that they had to do their job and serve you. Processing time for a visa takes a month or longer. I called to see if mine was ready, they said no. They called me back an hour later and told me to come pick it up. The embassy only accepts cash payment for visas. They offer little to no advice for help when it comes to applying for a visa - which was, in my mind, rather difficult as their require 15 documents for a student visa. They also don't tell you that student visas only last 3 months and that you would need to get a N.I.E. and T.I.E. card once in Spain, which is another visa process, but more complicated. Very disappointed with the service at this embassy.
