I have been going to this office for 11 years. I was amazed at how I was treated by the clinical staff. I had the same Dr for all those years. I now have a new physician and she knows everything in my chart! It's been surprising. The reason for 3 starts is because of the office staff
My regular primary care physician is excellent and I absolutely recommend her. She is compassionate and really listens to her patients and is always willing to work with their needs in a timely manner. Whenever I've had prescriptions assigned by Sasha they've always been sent to the pharmacy right away and correct. My two star rating is because of my experience in the Behavioral Health speciality department. I was able to visit the specialist in-person before moving out of state and when I asked ahead of time in that appointment if I would be able to have a 90-day supply of a non-controlled medication Setraline 50 mg I was told "that shouldn't be a problem". Also, I've had this medication in the past so it's not new for me. Fast forward to officially living in the other state. I was supposed to have a virtual appointment but they couldn't see me because I was in a different state which was told to me on the day of the appointment. Okay. I'll work with that. So I asked to have a 90-day supply of Sertraline 50 mg as I also had at my in-person visit in August. Someone calls back and says they'll only do 30-days and I need to find a new provider. I get that, except some insurances don't start up right away at new jobs and there are many other factors that affect getting a new provider: not accepting new patients, booked schedule, etc so making sure your patient has a 3 month supply of a non-controlled medication that they've had before shouldn't be a hassle if a physician genuinely cares about their patient's health and wants to ensure they have what they need. Anyway, I get to the pharmacy and a totally different doctor who I saw once months ago when my PCP was booked authorized the med at 25mg. I had said the specialist's name who prescribed the Sertaline 50mg in my first call.A doctor authorization was needed for refills. I call again and the specialist made a note that stated. "I authorize a 30-day supply. Patient has moved and understands that she needs a new provider". Apparently what was said in person was a fallacy which is disappointing because I made sure to cover all my bases before I moved and thought the specialist would honor her word and make sure I had access to the medication I just restarted.
this is hunters mom Laurie Hayden . Ive been going to elmwwood for decades. donna Bilodeau was amazing. I was worried she was retiring but now i have Desirae serrano. She is kind, caring and thorough.. I can see a great relationship forming with her. Vera and the rest of the front staff is kind and courteous. nurses have always treated me with kindness. I have never had a long wait to be seen. if you have then rest assure the person before you was in a tough situation and needed the drs time.
My Doctor is great but the wait time is hurrendious their always late and service is slow
I had the the same Dr for 18 yrs I retired and moved back to Waterville I did go to Portland a couple of times but the trip was long for a 10-15 minute visit! I started asking around and was referred to Elmwood Meghan Thornberg it was an easy transition I do miss my Portland Group but I have to say I love Meghan & Elmwood thank you for everything you have done for me
We have always had exceptional care with both my Husband's Dr Webb and My Dr Longfellow! We just love Vera receptionist and Amanda is Great at taking you're blood! They take the time to hear what's going on with their patients. I think Maine General expects the Drs to see a certain number of patients a day which sometimes leads to long waits for others not the fault of the Drs I am more than happy to wait my turn to get the exceptional care that we receive! They are a great team and work well together!
Dr Gina is my doctor, I absolutely love her she is the best primary physician I have ever had in my life. I enjoy being able to see her every time I get to see her. She works hard at making sure her patients are taken care of and heard.
My new PN is really Awesome and the front desk.
Ive traveled all over the united states. Previous to my travels my thoughts on this establishment were subpar.. the long waits, grumpy overworked staff at times... and I have had personal interactions with the nursing staff that were not enjoyable. Yet, this is nothing!! The care they provide is accurate, in depth, and I feel well taken care of. The nursing staff at times are just hella grumpy!! I think its the volume of clients they see! But in comparison to the health care in 90% of the other states. They are doing amazing! So if your one of those complaining they would get better care in mexico, you dont need to even go that far. Just hit Mass or Conn. and your mind will be totally changed!
The entire team at Elmwood Primary Care are compassionate, caring, and professional. When patients come in stressed, not feeling well, and the patients world has been turned upside down, because of what they are going through. The staff always does their best to help make things better. I appreciate the selfless work that each of them tries to do to ease their patients burdens. I also value and respect the great care they provide to the Waterville area.
