Food: Good Prices: Average what you'd expect...one traditional breakfast, one omelette, 2 coffees=$36 Seating: Both indoor lots of room and outdoor in season Cleanliness: Very clean Service: Friendly and very good Speed: Poor/inconsistent from the time of entering, we had to wait over 20 min just to get our coffee, 42 min for breakfast which was pretty simple, and over 80 min before we could get the bill. The 2 waitresses were constantly moving. One I think is experienced, the other newer. A third woman dressed all in black, the same as the waitresses did no work that I could see in over an hour. Well, she swept the patio for 37 min and walked around inside with nothing in her hands. A man wearing a long white apron owner? chef? also swept the patio for about 10 min after which the other woman in black went to sweep it again, and as we were leaving, helped to being food to a table. We watched a single diner get seated, coffee and his food on the table in under 5 min. We saw another single diner order the same breakfast but it took over 45 min for him to get his. The level of busy in the restaurant was about the same the entire time...guessing about 10 tables of diners, so it wasn't that it was a busy time vs a quiet time. So the inconsistency in speed was unaccounted for that we could see. If you are not in a rush, then this was great.
My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience here today. The staff were accommodating. Food was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed everything we've ordered. Even my niece enjoyed her chicken tenders, and she's very picky! She finished everything on her plate and she usually doesn't especially if she's not liking the taste. She also really enjoyed the milk shakes. Everything was really tasty--not salty, but tasty. Very flavorful. Everything was really good and satisfying. All the staff was super nice and wonderful--from the host, to the owners, to the server. Truly grateful for such an amazing dining experience at this location. Will definitely be coming back here.
Breakfast, lunch or something in between, this little restaurant is the best place to go enjoy a great meal. The prices are very good, especially considering how great the food is! The service was attentive and efficient and very friendly. Highly recommended to plan a visit if you are passing through town or live here.
We had an awesome brunch at Elm Street Cafe. We were greeted at the door, seated and served with freshly brewed coffee as soon as we sat. The entire menu including home fries are all freshly made in house. Sorry! It was so good, that I was late in taking pictures.
Had a great experience! The owners hosted us. They came over to say hello!They were very nice and friendly,chatting with all the customers. Servers were very attentive. Food was amazing! The best chicken quesadilla I've ever had. Will definitely go back.I don't get to go to Grimsby very much but it's on the way to Niagara so will make a pit stop there for brunch.
What adelightful place tucked away in the corner of the plaza. Food and service was above par. The portions were huge and the servers very friendly and prompt. Definitely deserves another visit.Food: 5/5
First time there today, as we are relatively new to the area. The restaurant was lovely. The wait staff was pleasant, all of them, even the ones who's sections we weren't seated it. The food came out in great time, hot and delicious. The place was clean, and cozy and overall had a really great vibe. And since prices have gone up INSANELY everywhere.. I found their prices VS the portions were MORE than fair. Loved it. I would happily recommend this place to everyone. And a big thank you to Alyssa, you were a joy from start to finish.
Stopped by for lunch yesterday with my wife. There was about 25 patrons there when we arrived. We waited for quite awhile before being served due to the fact there was only one waitress working 12:30 pm. The food was great, the server we had was amazing, unfortunately the employer needs to loosen the purse strings and hire more help, the poor girl was running off of her feet. This wasn't just a case of not finding help, we've been here before and the situation was the same.
Came here after being ignored at our first place, waited at the door about 5 minutes while waitresses stood around at the bar counter, place had almost all tables full. Got water and coffee right away. Waited 30 minutes to get out breakfast they did have a help wanted sign posted so I'll give it to them The plates were huge, home fries were delicious and just slightly crispy. A very good menu option at a decent price, would go back again.
I waited until I ate here 3 times before giving it this review. I'm very disappointed with the food here. Great service - terrible food. Home fries taste like McCain's. Ham is super thin. Peameal bacon looks and tastes frozen. Sausages from the food basics down the road? There is no way it can be this bad everytime. They need to get a new supplier. Honestly just go down the road to dinner Bistro. The home fries have no seasoning. Maybe a little celery salt.
