The Elmhurst is a beautiful place to sit outsidenThe staff are absolutely wonderful and attentive.nHaving said that What happened to Mothers daynbrunch?nMy son and I have been coming to the Mothers daynbrunch every year for years and it was! good.nnWe both noticed the quality has diminished. The variety of salads has diminished, the cheese selection was a lot of regularnlike cheddar. There used to be a variety of cheeses that were specialty types of cheese. There was too much salmon offered.nNot everyone likes salmon. Unfortunately we will not be returning for anymore Mothers day Brunches and will go elsewhere in the future. The cost of $53.00 per person plusngratuity, was a lot for what was actually offered. We do understand prices go up and are willing to pay but we expectngood quality, not was on the table Sunday.nnAgain your staff are absolutely wonderfulnI suspect this is more a management issue trying cut costs We will not be back
A Refined Retreat in Ontario’s Countryside – Elm Hurst Inn & SpannTucked into the rolling hills of Ingersoll, Ontario, Elm Hurst Inn & Spa offers a charming blend of historic elegance and modern comfort. Set within a beautifully restored 19th-century mansion, this inn is a favorite for romantic getaways, girls’ weekends, or anyone in need of a peaceful escape.nnThe rooms are spacious and thoughtfully appointed, many offering views of the lush grounds and gardens. What sets Elm Hurst apart is its balance between heritage character and contemporary amenities. The on-site spa receives high praise for its professional staff and serene atmosphere, offering a full range of treatments ideal for a relaxing retreat.nnThe highlight for many is the award-winning fine dining restaurant. Known for locally sourced ingredients and seasonal menus, the cuisine is consistently applauded for its quality and presentation. The historic dining room adds a layer of charm that makes every meal feel special.nnWhether you’re strolling through the picturesque property, sipping wine on the patio, or unwinding in the spa, Elm Hurst delivers a calm, elevated experience. Only a short drive from London, it’s a hidden gem that combines warm hospitality, great food, and timeless architecture in one memorable stay.
I came to this infamous Inn with my sister for a girls night and it was lovely.nThe building has an old Victorian feel to it but it was super clean and cozy. There is a spa that offers massages, facials, body treatments etc AND has an infrared sauna. The food in the restaurant was delicious. During our stay there was 2 weddings and we were not disturbed at all by any noise or loud music.nThe property is so beautiful so please go and take a little stroll when you go, it adds to your relaxation. I will definitely be back in the future
The staff here was exceptional start to finish they had great communication even before our arrival. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Older but well maintained Our spa services were some of the best I have ever received. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was nothing but delicious. The breakfast was also great. We will certainly be returning in the future. Only wish they would have had a pool
I recently stayed at Elm Hurst Inn & Spa and while I did enjoy parts of my visit, the overall experience didn’t live up to the high price.nnThe Good:nThe grounds and building are beautiful, and everything was very clean—no funky smells, which I really appreciated. Staff at the front desk and restaurant were fantastic: friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I also loved the hypoallergenic products—they were high quality and didn’t irritate my skin or hair which is rare in hotels!. Bonus points for that.nnMy room had a jacuzzi tub, which was amazing, but it was frustrating that most rooms don't offer tubs. For a spa-focused getaway, I expected more tub options.nnThe dinner on my first night chef’s choice: Caesar salad, prime rib, honey cheesecake was fantastic. Everything was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, ordering the same meal the next night was a letdown—the quality dropped noticeably. Breakfast was fine, though the berry compote and whipped cream for the waffles were a highlight.nnThe Not-So-Good:nnNo USB ports or easy-to-access outlets—had to move furniture to plug things in.nnRough, scratchy sheets and no pillow alternatives when I asked.nnTV didn’t support any streaming services.nnThe front door accessibility button didn’t work.nnSpa Experience:nThe products were lovely and my estheticians were great, but the experience overall didn’t match the price. My Indian Head Massage was more like a general back/foot massage, and it didn’t feel like a full 60 minutes once you account for waiting, changing, etc. My robe didn’t fit comfortably and the plus-size alternative they found was stiff and uncomfortable—not what you'd expect in a luxury spa.nnAlso, the spa booking process was clunky—email booking led to multiple errors and back-and-forth just to get appointments right.nnFinal Thoughts:nI really wanted to love this place. The staff and setting are lovely, and there are some genuinely nice touches. But too many details were off or disappointing for the premium price. I wouldn’t return unless there were significant improvements or more reasonable rates.
