I went a little overboard and ordered their flight, the "one of everything": espresso, brewed coffee, and macchiatto with a tonic water. I went with the macchiato first because it was the cutest and I really wanted to try it, but halfway I downed the espresso shot and was wired! Loved it. I probably could have stopped here but I still had the brewed coffee and I was here for a good time. The brewed coffee was a bit more watery, but with this intense trio that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. At $5.50 this is a pretty nice experience! This isn't exactly the best space to hang out since seating is quite limited and I'd only come in pairs or alone since the tables are smaller. The ambiance is chill and clean and I found a table in the corner so I had a great time.
My order, a flat white latte.. as it comes. Excellent quality and taste. They make a good traditional latte. My wife got an iced vanilla latte made with house vanilla syrup. Not as sweet to her taste but she enjoyed it!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: NoCurbside pickup: No
With just one small coffee shop in Pioneer Square and one coffee bar in a South Lake Union office building, Elm Coffee Roasters doesn't have its footprints all over Seattle and maintains an independent, workshop flair. That's why it's the only established local chain on this list. Elm's coffee shop on 2nd Ave is on the edge of the fun and exciting gallery and boutique area. The south facing roastery coffee shop is modern and welcoming, with great attention to details. Pioneer Square light rail station always stresses me out a little bit, but a great cup of latte at Elm always calms me down. For coffee fanatics who live on caffeine, you gotta try Elm's One of Everything: the espresso-macchiato-brewed coffee trio will for sure wake you up. Elm carries just a few pastry items from Salmonberry Goods, a local farm-to-table bakery. They don't make croissants which you all know by now is my absolute favorite pastry but I'm always more than happy to get something from a local, sustainable, family business. Better yet, these pastries are nothing short of delicious.
I stopped by on a trip to Seattle while walking around and looking for a good cup of coffee. After a terrible experience the day before in Everett I was expecting to pay too much for a low quality cup of coffee. To my surprise the coffee was priced really well $2.5 for 8oz, the staff was really nice and engaging. The bean prices seemed really high but we're packaged really nice. I would definitely consider buying beans as a gift here but not for home use The coffee tasted great. They could have probably ground it a little finer to pull out some sweetness but it was still the best cup I had all week.
Latte art made in perfection. The baristas were really nice and professional. The currently used espresso Ethiopia Tadesse Wonka has a lot of 'floral' acid that caused heartburn in me. But this is just a personal preference. The quality of the beans is nevertheless high end. This should be one of the best coffeeshops downtown Seattle.
Beautiful space, lovely customer service, unique menu. If you visit old town make sure to stop by for their delicious pastries and authentic drinks.
Favorite coffee shop in Pioneer square. Hands down the best coffee in the area. Only wish it was little more cozy of a place to sit. I usually end up getting take out since the tables are taken.
Great coffee and the house made sparkling tea was pretty good. Also they were super fast!
Best coffee in Seattle. High-quality fair-trade beans, roasted in-house, excellent baristas who are trained well and who deliver top-notch customer service. This has been a staple of mine for years.
Favorite latte in Seattle. Location is a bit out of the way, but we’ll worth the visit!
