Story

Welcome to Elderberry Design and Flowers! Let me introduce myself. My name is Jim Williams, a former crafts and textile designer and one time crafts, tabletop and Christmas editor of Better Homes and Gardens magazine. It became my desire and vision to start a shop, a dream i'm sure that resonates with a lot of creative people.

After it's inception in 2001 in the heart of Woodstock, New York, my partner Arnie Miller and I moved it as well as ourselves to a stone and log cabin on the outskirts of town which we transformed into a quaint cottage compound with exciting color, natural country gardens, and a pond teeming with wildlife.

Through the first years and much trial and error, Elderberry grew from antiques to my own collage and construction art work to handcrafts, and after adding flowers to the mix--flowers took presidence and is now Elderberry's sole focus: fine floral design for weddings and special events that is casually elegant, natural. heart felt and especially designed for each and every bride.
