We visited El Ranchero for the first time, based on the reviews. They did not disappoint! The restaurant was exceptionally clean, and we'll lit. We were greeted immediately by Ruben...who was also our waiter. He was very welcoming and knew the menu like the back of his hand. Very impressive. As for the food....it arrived on a timely manner, and piping hot! It had great flavor and presented well. The portion sizes are huge, and Chips & Salsa was included. Btw....the Salsa was very tasty as well. We'll definitely be going back! Quite honestly, El Ranchero has the best Mexican food in the Longview area. Truly.
I must have been there on an off night because we had an over all sad experience. We both got the basic burritos and, as it turns out, they're just meats wrapped in the tortilla. Nothing else inside. That was unfortunate, but it could have overlooked if other things were better. The carnitas must have been the bottom of the barrel because it was all dry and overcooked, same with my wife's chicken. The service was also sad. We had empty water glasses the entire time and we had to ask for them to get us filled up twice. The wait times were also more on the long side than being annoying. How long does it take to swipe a card? Apparently about 5 minutes. There were 3 other tables sat when we were there. The atmosphere was good and classic Mexican restaurant. Overall, I'd go back to hopes that it would live up to "the best Mexican in Longview" from other reviewers. Kid-friendliness: They have a "12 and under" menu. Parking: Shared parking with the market next door.
Excellent looking and tasting food. Large portion size. Friendly staff. All the free chips and salsa you can eat. Massive menu with prawns wrapped in bacon in almost every category!Recommended dishes
Great Mexican food. Fast to the table and taste was good. I had someone stop by the table 5 or 6 times to make sure everything was fine. Good place to get a meal and not spend all day or a ton of money. I would definitely recommend and will be eating here again. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces. Wheelchair accessibility: It's ground floor so no steps or ramps.
Could not have been better. Im a huge Mexican food fan, coming from SoCal this is as good as it gets for WA standards! Fresh ingredients, great service, huge portions. Very happy and will be back for our trips to Portland!
We always stop here on our way to Cannon Beach. This restaurant never disappoints. I try something new every time and after reading the review about montaña de carne, I had to have it. It was an absolute feast. Every meat was so flavorful. They nailed it!
Went here for valentine's day, 2023. They were busy but we were seated right away. The typical chips and salsa delivered as expected in 10 seconds. The salsa was great with just enough kick. The chips were too hard though. Maybe over cooked? We had the chicken fajitas and really enjoyed them. They had a sweet taste, but it worked for me. The service was very attentive but without being in our face. I'd go here again for sure!
Great restaurant. I had the quesabirra tacos. Very good and a lot of food. Friendly folks. Clean bathrooms. I’ll try the cazuela drink next time.
This place is really nice inside. The service was very prompt, food came to the table in less than 10 minutes and was seriously DELICIOUS! I will definitely be eating there again and again. If you have been wanting to check it out then you really should. You won't be disappointed.Food: 5/5
great food and drinks. Food prices are great for a sit down Mexican place and the drinks are massive if a bit pricey.
