I have used this business for over 20 years for both my home and business location.  Since they have become Gold Medal, service has really gone downhill.  I spoke with Jamie today to set up an appointment for inspection of my furnaces.  She was short, rude and had tremendous attitude.  She was impatient and did not like me asking questions as I tried to clarify which of my two accounts she was speaking about.  She transferred me to a get lost line and I had to call back in for service.  If that is the face of the people answering the phones and representing this company now, I am certain many customers will re-evaluate their options.  She did not represent them well.

The Service Manager at this location is GOD sent. He knows Heating, AC & Plumbing. His knowledge and know-how makes him over qualified for the job. Dan Carpenter is a beast in this industry!  Call us for a Gold    Membership!

Been using Design Air for 20 years.  Since they got bought out by Gold Medal they are simply in full blown up sell mode.  They started the up sell before they even walked in the door and my unit that was working upon their arrival suddenly stopped working upon their departure, on Easter weekend, no less.  They also know push you into a year contract vs the 6 month contract they had previously offered.  Seems as though they went corporate and although I never felt that I could not trust them, they have lost my trust completely.  I called and spoke to Chris from dispatch and told him my feelings and he hung up on me.  Great representation of what this company has become.  Stay away!  I have already started contacting friends who have cancelled appointments.  I will be leaving this review everywhere.

In reference to design air and “gold medal” services: After gold medal a company whose owner lives in Florida and is an LLC out of Delaware bought design air, This company offered us three-year service contract at a cost of over $700. Their website is an amateurish propaganda festival touting how fantastic their customer service is, executed like a PT Barnum poster.  I shoulda known this was a warning sign that the clowns were in charge. My bad.  We knew our air conditioner, which is nearly 20 years old, would need replacement. There’s no doubt it’s a tough job, hard to access.  They assured us it was possible, spent hours of time inspecting the site on two different occasions, confirmed they would do the work, sent a sales person over who signed a contract agreement with us with abundant detail on the services, itemized description of each installation product, the costs, and the date that the service contract would be executed. The salesperson then asked me for personal financial details and had me take out a line of credit for the job.  On the day of the service, my wife waited all day until late in the afternoon and no one showed up. Finally, SHE called THEM and told us that their installation department had declined the job—and no one ever told us.  These guys are bozos. Don’t bother doing business with them. Their sales people didn’t return any of my calls when I tried to ask them what was going on, and customer service was no better.  We found another service that spent the time with us to come up with a realistic solution to our air conditioning issues. Design Air could have done this, but they didn’t bother, even though we have paid them $700 to service our equipment and give us good advice about how to manage it.  In summary: the company is utterly worthless. Find someone else for your HVAC needs.
