I stopped here for a family dinner and too many members of our party were disappointed by the place. It didn't help that the kitchen and server were completely overwhelmed by a busy supper time on a weekend night. They were understaffed. Several of us ordered our burgers well done and they came out very overcooked and dry. Another person ordered a steak, medium, and the quality of beef was low. Most of the hot food came out lukewarm. The person who ordered chicken liked their meal and the server was very friendly, but due to being so busy she was unable to return to our table to refill drinks so we went to the bar for additional service. If I'm ever in Independence and in need of a meal, I'm going to try somewhere else.
