So I will start with an awesome office staff. Super clean office and dental area. They definitely make you feel at home all around. Alexis the office manager who is smart, witty, super friendly and bursting with energy, always looking to help those that may need help if any. I had a minor issue, and she took care of it immediately! And I am very happy with the outcome! Thank you, Alexis!

First time at this practice and I was absolutely impressed. It’s always hard to start up with a new practice because of insurance changes. From the moment I came in the receptionist the primary technician and then Gianna were absolutely outstanding. Very personable caring and professional. Gianna has a very strong knowledge and expertise which I want to spend time with her to bring my oral care to the highest level. She is well qualified and capable to do that. The dentist himself was also outstanding and he reminded me of some of my cousins down on Long Island The Receptionist at payment was excellent and I highly look forward to my next visit and great things at this dental office. Please give them a try if it is your first time as I truly believe they will deliver with excellence. Thank you for having such an outstanding team at this location

Excellent dental office overall. Everyone is friendly and the dentist and staff are extremely hard working to get you through the process as accurately and speedy as possible. Very detailed so that you have an understanding of the work that needs to be done.

Ester was great. Very thorough cleaning and very informative. Would definitely recommend her. However, I have had some issues with the practice in general. I went there in November of 2021 for a cleaning. Said to come back in three months. Had an appointment for February 2022 which they cancelled and rescheduled me to September of 2022 which they said was the earliest appointment and did I want to take it or what? Which I did. Went in September for cleaning and was examined by the Dr. He said Xray showed some decay and I needed to have crown replaced and possibly have a CT scan. Dr said he wanted me to have this done within the next few weeks. They scheduled me for November. Was told the CT scan was cheaper with Dental Direct so I enrolled in that. A few days before the appointment they called to confirm the appointment and my cost. An hour later they called to say I say they were cancelling that appt and that I needed to see a periodontist first. Saw periodontist two weeks later in the Fishkill office. They scheduled me a procedure four weeks later. A couple of weeks later they called to say they had to change that appointment for an earlier date. However, I did not win the phone lottery and then they said they were scheduling me for a week later than my original appt. So, because the crown cannot be scheduled until four weeks after the procedure that means crown will not begin until the end of January 2023 and I will hopefully actually get the crown in February 2023. That puts me at a full year from when this should have been discovered in February of 2022. I do also have a gripe with the fact that I could have been referred to the periodontitis right after my visit in September rather than waiting until November as this decision to refer me one would think was based on review of the x-rays taken in September. I have been generally satisfied with my treatment there for a number of years. So not sure what has happened to change the situation there but it's something that definitely gives me pause.

I have been using County Dental in Poughkeepsie for many years now. The dentists and staff are courteous, prompt, and efficient. Very pleased with the level of care.

Awesome experience, I went in scared and the entire staff took excellent care of me. I highly recommend County Dental.

Going to a dentist has not been my favorite thing to do. But, I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Dutchess County Dental. The level of competence and skills of the dental professionals there, from the dentist to his staff—is highly impressive, and a welcome relief. But, there were so many other things that impressed me with Dutchess County Dental. The quality of all their equipment — from TOP NOTCH X-RAY MACHINES, and their skill in taking and interpreting their images. Attention given to each patient; as well as the conscientious adherence to COVID Protocol for their safety—to the understanding, caring nature of every member of their amazing team, Dutchess County Dental comes out on top. Oh, and they have extremely comfortable dental chairs!

Updating this because now I have Esther as my hygienist. She is beyond awesome. She takes the time, is super knowledgeable and caring and if I could give her 6 stars I would. Great dental office, friendly staff. I’ve been going to Dr. Scheffer for years now and I trust him. Ashley the hygienist is great too. They are easy to get appointments with, and to talk to on the phone. Everything a dental practice should be.

I love this place. I rarely have to wait, they were super accommodating when my three year old had to come with me, quick, easy cleanings, and fluoride treatments.
