Dunn's is under new management. And the changes are for the better. Service was quick. And fully bilingual, Not like the old establishment ,only spoke French. Food was outstanding.Food: 5/5
Great smoke meat at Dunn's. Service was also very good from the waitress. Plates are big lots of food. None of us finished everything not that it was no good but because of the amount of food it had. It's worth a stup for a smoke meat lover if you are in the area. Kid-friendliness: Menu pour enfants Parking: Stationnement devant le restaurant.
Food was ok, my fault as I asked for a lean smoked meat. A little too dry for my taste. The restaurant was closed for a while I taught they were renovating. Everything looks old and used. A little disappointing.Food: 3/5
Happy to see this restaurant has reopened, not many restaurants serve good smoke meat and this is a great place for that. When you ask for Lean cuts, you get exactly that, highly recommend! Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surface,seating available at floor level.
My first time at Dunn's. The Smoked Meat was amazing, poutine lacked cheese. Service, not so much. Coming every 2 minutes to see if we were ready to order. I got annoyed by the waitress and took the same thing as my boyfriend. Also she asked if we wanted Swiss cheese on our sandwich I dident think for one second that there was an extra cost, I thought to myself just incase someone is intolerant to lactose.... 2$ extra for 1 slice of swiss cheese without being informed. It was really disappointing.
I haven’t eaten at dunns in 15 years so I wanted to try it again. Food was alright but the service was not acceptable for a restaurant that did not have a lot of patrons. A meal that should have taken max 30 min ended up taking closer to an hour. There was a solid 10 minutes between when we put the menu down and when the waitress came to take our order. The bottomless drinks mean nothing if the waitress never comes to check on you. At one point she came asked if we wanted a refill and then disappeared until it was time for the bill without ever bringing the drink. I am also a little bit upset that to change French fries into a salad cost 3$ more. I feel like the healthier option should be the same price as the French fries.
Liked the old place better. It's missing the diner vibe the other Dunn's famous restaurants has. The food was really good as always. The Dunn's ceasar is a must have.
Excellent Montreal smoke meat sandwich
Location: On the north shore. Parking available though on the small side and often busy. The place: It's not an overly large space but you're not stuck to your neighbours. Decor is simple, the place is clean. The goods: Obviously, you come here for the smoked meat, though they have other options on their menu. I ordered their small combo which is a pretty decent-sized portion of fries, one sandwich and I think coleslaw. The smoked meat was great but had some fat on it so if you don't like any fat, order lean I ordered medium but it's what I normally order at other places but there' not usually any fat - the fries were crispy and not greasy at all. Service: Good Price point: $17 for a sandwich and fries seems a little high for these parts.
If you love hot sandwiches served with a smile and a good portion of food for your dollar, visit this place.
