Dundas Shawarma

Wow. I thoroughly enjoyed the "Chicken Shawarma Poutine". Late at night near closing, my pregnant wife had a never-before pregnancy craving for Shawarma, so we googled the closest place and went to Dundas Shawarma. It was AMAZING!!! FOOD: The chicken was super tender and extremely flavourful. The fries were crispy and perfectly moist from the cheese/gravy/garclic sauce. And speaking of garlic sauce, WOW was that garlic sauce ever good. Best we've ever had! SERVICE: The worker was extremely nice, gentle, and very generous!! ATMOSPHERE: The place was extremely clean. Everything from the floors, to the tables, to the equipment, it was all super clean!

Let me just start by saying this place is clean, fast and the taste is incredible. However, I ordered a regular chicken and rice $11.25 and asked for extra chicken. My total then came to a little over $18. When I opened my container, the amount of chicken seemed pretty lacklustre. And certainly not $6 or so. While I love the taste and the efficiency, I can’t get past the pricepoint

The girlfriend and I went for dinner here as we were extremely hungry. We ordered our food and during the ordering process she told us I needed to tell her all the ingredients up front before paying. I mentioned that I like to build the sandwich as they're making it she told me absolutely not I need to know the ingredients now to write them down. We specified on 3 ingredients to put inside the wrap at the end she loaded a lake full of garlic sauce and then close it without hot sauce and when we ask does that have hot sauce she goes what you didn't ask. We replied that we didn't actually order any sauce and we told her the only 3 ingredients that we wanted on it. The lady then told us that it was our problem because we didn't explain ourselves properly. We went to the car and the girlfriend was extremely disappointed with their food. I went back inside and asked him to remake it. The gentleman was kind enough to remake it he did it very fast and didn't seem to be very happy about it. I apologized and I told them my girlfriend does not like confrontation but it's not fair that she had to eat something she didn't order. All in all from someone that actually works in customer service industry it was just very frustrating. I've never had a food place to tell us about all the rules that are inside their food place after ordering the food. At the end of the day I got the feeling from this place is to order as it is if don't like it don't order.

Super clean store . The product is fresh . This guy must pay a fortune for veggies the wrap was delicious but the freaking salads are incredible . Great portions for the price....

We walked in for lunch with some friends, had to wait a solid 10 minutes while they prioritized all their skip the dishes orders. Noticed no gloves even after going from till to counter, nor did they wash their hands to work bare handed. I give the service here a great big 0, besides that the food was very good and worth going back for would definitely recommend the shawarma and rice platter!

What I ordered was lacklustre. Shawarma sandwich and a small fatouch salad. White sauce literally tasted like watered down mayonnaise. So much pita bread used for the shawarma. He put it together like he was mad at the shawarma. Skinny shawarma wrap as well. Very very, get in, eat, get out vibe. $13 for that experience, no thanks. Better spots pretty much everywhere else.

Just tried for the first time tonight, absolutely amazing! A must try! Update: 5 years later and this is still my favorite place to go when it's takeout night! Absolutely delicious every time! My favorite is the shwarma salad

My go to Shawarma place ever since I first tried couple of months back. Food tastes super fresh as rice / fries are good

It was decent. I ordered the chicken rice dish. If you like just chicken and rice as a meal it was ok but didn't have a lot of flavour. Maybe its just myself but it could you some veggies. Next time I will try the falafel wrap. Otherwise the place was clean and the portion was decent for the price.

Best shawarma I've ever had! Fresh ingredients, huge portions. I've only ever ordered from skip the dishes, today was the first time I actually went there myself. Very clean place, the people working were nice. Will continue to come here!
