Nice place! Good breakfast and lunch location. Service is friendly and fast. Seafood chowder is tasty and full of flavours but overly salty. The toasted western sandwich was burned so the taste suffered. It was still edible so we didn't say anything. Home fries are fresh and tasty. Thanks for a good experience.
The place was cozy, lots of nice artwork decorations around. As for the food, I enjoyed the Mulligatawny, and Potato Leek and Stilton soups. Both were creamy in their own way, and really hit the spot in the winter season! For the main dish, the Chicken & Leeks Crepe was very comforting, and the Duncan's Turkey Burger was fairly good with its pairing of cranberry sauce and mashed squash. Portion was decent as well for lunch! Also, our server, Rachelle was very attentive and gave good suggestions for the soup. Overall, would come back here again. Thanks for the meal!
This was my first time here with Duncan’s Cafe. We were seven people went there for our breakfast. We asked to wait and we waited about 40 minutes. Three servers were working and yet they were closing down a section which according to them was due to short of staffs. The ambience was good with Retro look and their effort is praise worthy to promote local artists paintings. However we are thoroughly disappointed with the menu and foods they served. I my self ordered an omelette which they offer 3 eggs with no home fries. Bread toasted but no butter inside. My friend ordered steak which is 5 oz and that was made well. However the fresh orange juice we ordered could not finish due to onion smell in it as they probably use the same knife to cut the orange and onions. Overall the price doesn’t justify the quantify of the food and regarding cleanliness they don’t handle it properly after covid situations. Servers were friendly though.
Best Chai Latte!! Food was a big overpriced - paid 20$ for a breakfast wrap. Although, it was exceptional. I ordered the eggs Benedict. It was good but nothing to write home about. No cushions on the hardwood booth seats which made our stay a little uncomfortable. Cute atmosphere with local art for sale. We couldn't figure out the parking which was frustrating and the service staff didn't know how to help us. Overall pleasant experience.
Honestly best chai tea latte I have ever had. It was so tasty not overly spicy. I will return again just to get the latte it was that good. Also had a grilled chicken wrap which was also delicious. Our waitress was very nice. I would go again. I would like to give their breakfast menu a try.
One of the best cafe to have breakfast if in collingwood or Blue mountains. Wide varieties of eggs and omelettes for breakfast. Also quite impressive vegetarians options I found, which is very rare at such places. Mine favourite is Greek omelette and hot chocolate.
The warm and friendly staff with their welcoming attitude and sense of humor brought in the most joy for a Sunday breakfast! The sauated vegetables and egg and potatoes in the Veggie Classic Breakfast were flavored nicely and the Mimosa had the perfect combination of alcohol and orange juice. The patio is small so arriving earlier in the morning would be a good idea!
We had an amazing breakfast here. Toast was toasted. Homefries were crispy and delicious. Steak and eggs - ordered rare and over easy - came actually rare and over easy. Butter tarts for dessert were delicious. Awesome art on the walls - so awesome that I sent home with a piece! I reckon we'll be back next time we're in town.
A friend suggested this place so decided to give it a try for brunch. First impression was good. The servers were nice, but the food came rather slow. We ordered the lasagna, chicken mango salad, grilled cheese and grilled wrap. The lasagna was delicious, but way too greasy and oily which made us a bit sick. They did use real mozzarella and ricotta a lot of cheese which may have caused it to be so greasy. The chicken for the mango salad was quite dry; same for the potato side of the wrap. The grilled cheese and the wrap themselves were ok. Overall the atmosphere was good, though there were some depressing and creepy paintings on the wall. All in all a little disappointed which is unfortunate.
Good service. Very nice waitress. Short wait time for food. Too much hollandaise sauce on Eggs Florentine and too much wine in the sauce. Poached eggs were over cooked we asked for medium. You only get one refill with the purchase of your coffee. Food was mediocre.
