Dufferin Mall Dental Associates

I started going to Dufferin Mall Dental since I was a teenager. No problems, I had Dr. Alfonso and he was great. Then Covid hit and for obvious reasons I did not go back for two years. I returned and they assigned me to a new doctor, Dr. Laura Baker. She's ok at what she does but there were multiple points where she did not seem confident in her decisions and that's not the reaction you want to see from your dentist. She missed a huge detail in one of my x-rays and I ended up having to get a root canal because she did not spot a cavity that was growing under one of my teeth that was already filled. At first I thought it's not her fault, the xray may have been obscured by my filling but then I went to a specialist and they spotted the cavity that was growing under my filling instantly, so it was either a lack of attention to detail or she was in a rush, neither are acceptable. Before this happened I had Dr. Song extract all four of my wisdom teeth, since I was tight on cash he managed to come up with a plan that was affordable which I appreciated. I'll refrain from going into too much detail about my gruesome procedure but it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I was lucid throughout the whole thing and at one point Dr. Song said "This is harder than I thought" which is the last thing you'd want to hear when you're in "surgery". I wish that was the end of it though. A few months after the procedure I can now hear my jaw clicking and making this grinding noise right next to my ear, which was the last straw and led me to writing this review. I don't have any other moves since they make you sign a consent form that indicates that you may experience all these awful things after. I can't tell you not to go here because clearly they're doing something right, I count mostly 5 star reviews. Like Dr. Alfonso was great from what I remember, but my personal experience was absolutely awful with Dr. Song and not too good with Dr. Baker. I want to clarify that they were very nice people and professional but with my specific case they seemed to have problems but I could be 1 in a 1000. Everyone at reception is very friendly and extremely helpful. I hope this review helps you out. Cheers.

When my old dentist whom I went to for 30 years retired, I probably visited 4 dental clinics over the next few years trying to find someone as good as my previous one. I think I was spoiled! A friend recommended Dufferin Mall Dental as the best Dentist in Toronto. I have been very impressed. The staff is very welcoming and professional. They follow up, explain everything and don't make you feel rushed. Every appointment is always on time and I genuinely feel that they care about their patients and their well being. Highly recommend, they are definitely one of the top dentists in Toronto!

Best service I ever had. Been going to this office for years and it was about time to leave A review. Dr. Priscilla was very professional and perfectionist, I did not feel rushed while getting orthodontic treatment. Always in a good mood and always sending positive vibes. The assistants were very nice and entertaining as well. The receptionists were always so welcoming and polite, they called me few times to remind me of my appointments which was great since I have a terrible memory. Great customer service everytime I've been there. My all time favorite hygienist Liz, she is awesome and so funny, she has such a great personality and so professional at the same time that's probably why she is always booked making it harder for me to get an appointment with her. I completely recommend this place

A friend recommended Dufferin Mall Dental as the best Dentist in Toronto when I moved to this area. The staff is very friendly and professional. They are strictly following covid guidelines and that made me feel safe. Hygienist was really gentle. Definitely bringing my family here. Every appointment is always on time. Highly recommend.

I am a regular patient at Dufferin Mall Dental, the services there are always consistently amazing. Clinic is nice and well kept. I had my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Chris Song whom was assisted by Savannah they were both amazing. They made me feel extremely comfortable during the surgery. Dr. Chris Song did an amazing thorough job.I highly recommend the clinic, Dr. Chris Song, and Savannah. Its always great experience.

With my wife being a dentist of 12 years currently studying for her equivalence, hence unable to practise atm she has to ensure I get the best treatment, and from Dr Priscilla that is exactly what I got! Dr Priscilla was extremely professional, attentive and caring, I honestly didn't feel a thing. My wife will have a tough fight on her hands to win me back as a patient!! And Sonia who did my cleaning...OMG, the softest touch, not one little vibration. They truly have the best staff at that clinic. Thank you guys at Dufferin Mall Dental. The direct billing to my Union too made it the easiest appointment. I am one happy customer from the Local 183.

I moved from Vancouver 2 years ago and really needed to find a new dentist in Toronto. I was recommended to Dufferin Mall Dental by a friend. I was a little anxious to go during COVID, but I was really impressed by all the measures taken to keep everyone safe. My temperature was taken right as I walked in and everyone maintained strict social distancing. My dentist and hygienist had n95’s, face shields, and gowns and the room even had an air purifier. It was definitely a different experience, but it did make me feel safe. Everyone was nice and friendly and made sure I was comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dufferin Mall Dental if you are looking for a family dentist in Toronto!

Wonderful experience and great service! My wife, daughter and I have been visiting Dufferin Mall Dental for years. The hygienists are all professional and do a great job. Dr. Jennifer Tse is patient and thorough, always willing to answer any questions we have.

The prices seemed reasonable until they were not. An unreasonable customer service. While trying to explain my situation and consulting with quotes, the lady was rude, unprofessional and her tone of voice completely changed when I mentioned that I had no insurance. She hung up on my face while I was saying goodbye and thanking her for her time although she had been the rudest receptionist I had spoken to today. The other receptionist was nicer but was not specific with quotes and the services provided. While I had been recommended this dentist and thought about going to this dentist to my further appointments, this lady really changed my mind. She is the typical lady that seems that want to retire because she hates her job. If I am not mistaken, her name was Dina. Customers do not only look at the service provided by the dentist but also at the reception, keep that in mind next time you answer a phone call from a potential customer or anyone in general, Dina.

This office is AWESOME. During a routine cleaning with my hygienist Liz took some routine xrays and Dr. Priscilla discovered a cyst in my jaw and that my wisdom teeth needed to come out because they had no room. They immediately explained to me in detailed of what is happening and what we needed to do to investigate this cyst. I was overwhelmed with all of this. The front desk was wonderful and efficient in booking for me a CBCT scan to confirm diagnoses. Dr. Priscilla and Dr. Afonso both recommended me to see Dr. Fortino for a consult. Long story short, I needed to have surgery to remove the cyst. The Dufferin mall team is wonderful from the moment I walked in with the lovely receptionists, to my hygienist Liz, to all the dentists and assistants. My surgery went well and my recovery was what I was told to expect. Dr. Fortino removed my wisdom teeth and cyst on the same day. Thank you to everyone for making this unexpected and scary experience a smooth and uneventful thing of the past.
