Actually I went to the street to try ice cream and there was a long line for gnocchi. Smell was so good and the line made me to try it. The sauce was good and extra cheese & pepper flakes made it even better. But I didn’t like the texture. It was too soggy. It was fun to try gnocchi in a Chinese takeout box with chopsticks. Gnocchi was very tiny so folk is much easier to grab it.
Cool concept. For the price point, it’s good value with generous portion and quick, friendly service. That said, there’s not much selection and I’m not sure it’s worth the hype - it’s good, but not amazing. The spicy is quite spicy, go no spice or low spice if you don’t want a kick.nnNote, they only accept Canadian debit cards and cash. Only has a to-go window, no seating.
The gnocchi was incredible. The sauce and chili flakes takes this dish to another level. If you know a little history, they source their tomatoes straight from Sicily I believe. The tomatoes sourced from their get their nutrients from rich soils that are nourished from the volcanos. If you're big into sauces, you'll taste the difference! Eat these with chopsticks and you'll have a taste and experience you won't forget!
Straighforward gnocchi place. A classic take-out spot in Mile-End that locals and tourists love. The prices are fairly good $6 per box and the sauce and pasta are rich and filling. During the early afternoon, there may be lineups of around 10-15 minutes. Note that there is also no seating, and I don't recommend buying the pasta+sauce in the jar because it doesn't cook nearly as well at home. Despite this, it's my favourite comfort food spot.
Knew about this place from its hype online but actually just stumbled past it unintentionally as it's located near lots of other popular eats! Simply cheap and tasty. It is a bit plain and the sauce kind of reminds me of Chef Boyardee, but it was delicious nonetheless. After all it’s only 6$ cheese is 1$ extra.
