Story

We are a farm to table restaurant, using local, organic ingredients. Our menu changes daily and can be found on the main page everyday by 4pm. We welcome you! We are honored to be doing what we love, in a region we cafe so deeply for. Thank you for visiting, and passing along our good message~!

We had a wonderful experience at the Driftless Cafe last night. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff were friendly, and the food was AMAZING! I got the Tenderloin with Potatoes and a Salad that was out of this world with bacon and pumpkin seeds and a delicious home-made berry salad dressing. My wife got the Salmon with seasonal roots and the same delicious salad. Oh, and the salad had a poached egg on top that made the experience of eating salad exciting and rich and so totally flavorful with a hint of sweet and savory and crunchy and creamy, all in one totally amazing salad. Wow. We also felt everything was priced very reasonably considering what we ordered and the experience we had. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner night out.

Without a doubt, the Driftless is the best restaurant in town. It's cozy environment is made even more welcome by a friendly wait staff and a menu that changes daily. The only exception to the menu is the beef tenderloin, which is a perennial favorite.

Service was friendly and efficient! Love the farm to table concept. My squash soup was wonderful! My husband had a catfish sandwich. The large piece of fish was coated in crisp cornmeal. Fish sat on top of crisp red cabbage and red onion on a home made roll. The home made apple pie was freshly out of the oven. Absolutely worh stopping for lunch, dinner or a home made bakery treat!

Vary Very GOOD food. Great service friendly caring and all around superb staff. A little pricey but so worth it.

The night perfect,,,, Touch on the noisy side but who cares,could use a little sound damping,,the salad was great,,,the salmon was cooked to perfection, the wine, Nectar (French) was perfect paring. The staff was just super. If I wasn't so far I would be back weekly,,,This is a must if you love great food, would love to have a little more private booth for conversation. My company was the best ever, a night I'll never forget. Thanks for such a memorable experience and night, and great food. Douglas
