I've been seeking a psychiatrist for quite awhile for my grandson, and luckily our insurance company was able to refer and make an appointment very quickly with Dr. Albin. Dr. Albin goes out of his way to make sure that all of your questions are answered and that you have a thorough understanding of the best treatment plan to support your needs. He has tele-health/online/video appointments making it very comfortable, and convenient to receive services. He is very patient and spends quality time with families, providing the proper time and guidance to make informed decisions. He tends to get booked rather quickly, so if you call and are told that he is accepting new patients, take the appointment right away. You won't regret it. Cynthia..
Dr Albin is a very compassionate psychiatrist who really tries to expand upon the needs of his patients. I have extreme fears in regards to taking medicine, and Dr. Albin is helping me work through it to be able to get to a better place mentally. He is always very thorough during the session, and has impeccable bedside manner. If you are seeking a psychiatrist, I would HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Dr. Albin.
I started seeing Dr. Albin a few months ago and have had nothing but positive experiences every time. I attend Binghamton University so it's very convenient to do zoom appointments. He is very compassionate and really takes his time when observing your moods/behaviors. Dr. Albin has helped me through so much and I'm so grateful for him.
Dr. Albin has been so helpful! He’s been a fantastic resource along my mental health journey. I’m really thankful for the insight he had on medications as well as his great bedside manner. He truly is professional and yet makes you feel welcomed.
Dr Albin has been very professional while keeping the mood light. He knows his stuff and helps me to put things in a better perspective after talking with him. I love that my sessions are through zoom. I highly suggest seeing Dr. Albin.
I actually made a fake account to post a real review because I was too nervous to post it on my real account. No idea how this guy has so many positive reviews. I'm dumbfounded. I'm not one to jump to conclusions or make allegations without proof, but I assume that a good amount of these positive reviews are fake, or like me, feeling uncomfortable to voice the truth. I saw Dr. Albin for roughly two years. Looking back on it.....nothing really great happened. In terms of medication, I cannot complain. He got a great treatment plan for that. In terms of, "counseling." My god, he is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS on his computer. There is absolutely no way on God's green Earth that he is taking that many notes for that long. It's impossible. He must be answering emails or doing something else. Never provides any sort of meaningful insight, comments, or validation. I'm not sure he even ever listened to me. Just spewed broad blanket statements. Almost never looked at me, at times just did not speak. His affect is either flat or comes across as uninterested. I used to leave his office driving home and crying because I would feel so ignored in my own personal life and now by a "professional." I did not leave for so long because I was so scared of not being able to find a practitioner that accepts my insurance. Find. Someone. Else.
After a difficult cancer diagnosis I was recommended by my surgeon to Dr. Albin. He is very professional, I can do TeleMed appts which is so helpful while I’m in radiation therapy and need to avoid contact with too many people. Dr. Albin has been a great help in my recovery. Highly recommend.
I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Albin after years of feeling like I couldn't find a doctor that could help me. Dr. Albin wants to get to the root of the problem, he takes his time to look at the whole picture. In a world where doctors are spread thin, where insurance is terrible and everyone has been forced to check in with their mental health, I am thankful to have stumbled upon him and his practice.
Dr Albin is extremely unprofessional in every matter. First of all, no psychiatrist appointment should be scheduled for weekends after 10PM. This was a constant. I met with Dr Albin for 5 sessions and each one was worse than the next. Dr Albin just sits there scrolling on Facebook the entire session and stares at you blankly for over a minute in between questions. He doesn’t care. The questions he asks do not go anywhere and sometimes, I feel like he doesn’t care. He repeats questions that he asked sessions before and is someone I wouldn’t even recommend to my worst enemy. There is clearly a reason Dr Albin is only via zoom because he knows he doesn’t pay attention and could get $400 a session from just sitting there nodding his head. If you are looking for a psychiatrist, look anywhere else. Anyone would be better than him. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Wonderful experience! Smooth process and completely digital if preferred. Dr. Albin conducts a thorough history and provides astute insight and careful treatment plans. Highly recommend!
