Dr. Goncalves is brilliant and I am so lucky to have had him preform my surgery. He is professional and caring. He has wonderful staff working in his unique office that I love. I can't believe how great I feel just 3 weeks after surgery. He has given me my life back. I can't rave enough about this doctor. He is the ONLY doctor I would recommend from Penticton for your female concerns.
Dr. Goncalves made us feel very well taken care of! He is clearly an extremely competent doctor and surgeon. He made sure we felt heard and respected in the decisions that were being made. Most importantly because of his care both mom and baby are here and are healthy as ever. Very appreciative and grateful to have been under his care.
It was Dr. Goncalves who finally listened to me & took the time to find out what has been going on for nearly 20 years. Where no other Dr. or specialist would address any of my concerns, Dr. Goncalves took the time to listen to me & seemed to genuinely care & want to resolve my concerns. I’m so grateful & thankful for Dr. Goncalves. I especially appreciate how he listened to me, taking the time to go over each of my concerns & how he always explained in great detail every single part of each procedure, all the while being caring, calming & confident. Dr. Goncalves was great throughout my whole process up to surgery and after. He let me know all of my available options and answered all of my questions so I could decide what was right for me. Even when there was a hiccup as to how my surgery was going to be performed, he wanted to ensure that I was informed every step of the way. I appreciated no surprises.
I experienced a medical emergency and was referred by Dr. Goncalves by my family doctor. I was so fortunate to be seen by the doctor within a week of the referral. The doctor was so caring and professional. He explained the situation very clearly, went over what needed to be done and said he would book surgery within two to three weeks. I was allowed to go home with instructions that if I got sick I was to return to emergency immediately. Long story short I ended up back in Penticton Emergency the next day. Dr. Goncalves saw me on Sunday and got surgery scheduled for Monday. There were some unavoidable situations and the surgery got postponed until Tuesday. More situations arose and they were going to postpone again. Dr. Goncalves told them very firmly that the surgery would go ahead. After the surgery he was so wonderful, telling me what to expect and what I could do during my recovery. I was so glad I had been lucky enough to be referred to this amazing doctor. I am thankful to have Dr Gonscalves for my gynecologist. Saw him within a week of being in emergency, and he worked to help fix my symptoms. A couple years later he did my PAP, when other Dr's wouldn't due to covid. Ended up having stage 4 precancer. When I needed my hysterectomy, it was done within 3 weeks. I am very happy with his care.
I appreciate doctors who are honest, caring, professional and treat me with respect. How about you? Dr Goncalves is all of those. And....no wait time once in his office! I recommend him without any hesitation!
Dr Goncalves has been very good at explaining surgery and what to expect. Everything went as scheduled with no unexpected side effects. Very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Dr Goncalves
