Our server was cordial and attentive, which I greatly appreciated. The beef brisket quesadilla was juicy, smokey and delectable. I highly recommend it! The turkey bacon sub on a ciabatta bun was meaty and satisfying. Paired with crispy sweet potato fries made for a perfect meal. Another must try!Recommended dishesRed Neck Nachos
Was a great night out. Was way more food than expected but it was top notch. Poor server was run off her feet but we managed. As I am an avid Smoker as well I am a tough critic of our dinners out which are limited because of let down after let down. The Mac and Cheese was on point and $11 for a small order may seem alot but this is made from scratch. The Redneck Nachos was a meal in itself but as an app it was too big. Half the size for $12 would sell more. We would come back to enjoy the full platter for $23 with drinks. Wings were off the hook and the dipping sauce was great with the Crown Maple wings. Hand cut fries tied the meal in well. Brisket was moist and flavorful just missed the traditional smoke ring. Their pulled pork was as good as mine and people love mine. Great ambience but was missing the Smokehouse smell as we pulled up but that could have been because of a slow night. Will be back again soon.
I have absolutely loved everything with exception of the brisket taco! They were good quality. The brisket was amazing it’s just not my taste! But I am sure other would think it’s amazing! Food is top notch, very clean and friendly environment. The waitress is drop dead gorgeous as well
Make your own platter was awesome, we picked everything we wanted to try and loved every bite!
Staff was fantastic. I went with 3 other guys. I had the half rack of ribs and fries, they had various other things pulled pork, prime rib burger, brisket tacos, sweet potato fries, etc everyone loved what they had the only thing we didn't super enjoy was their hottest wings, the heat was great but the flavour was just 'okay', but that didn't ruin the experience. All in all would get again.
Best BBQ me and my partner have EVER HAD. the ribs, and pulled pork, and brisket deserve a reward. YOU WILL NOT REGRET!!

First time ordering from Dr. J’s and it did not disappoint. Staff where nice when I arrived food was on time and it was delicious.
My husband, daughter, and I visited Dr. J's for the first time for lunch this weekend. We don't live right in Peterborough so wanted to try a new place and try to support local whenever possible. Definitely a great experience - delicious food, great service, and a bright, open, and clean seating area. We definitely will visit again and would recommend to anyone looking to support a locally owned business in the Peterborough area!
