I wish there was a way to give less than one star on this review.
My experience with this office was terrible. I was called about a multi year old account for which it was claimed they been sending mail to our current address for several years (impossible because our house hadn't been built for half the dates the woman was claiming not to mention we got our mail at a different address). The woman then tried to blame the post office for losing the letters.
Over the next several months the owners wife and head secretary changed her story about six times until finally, after my insurance sided with me and said I didn't owe them anything, she changed it yet again to make it my sons account not my husbands!!?!
The woman I spoke to every single time was both rude and inconsistent with her ever changing stories. I even had to ask her to send me a bill in the mail and then I had to ask her to send me another because the date of service wasn't on it! Of course after she was thwarted by my insurance and tried to say it was my sons account rather than my husbands all of the paperwork changed as well.
I will say, that the dentist my son saw, Dr. Merci, was wonderful. Unfortunately it seems that the front desk help needs to be altered drastically, as well as whatever horror of a filing system they've got going, because that office has just lost all my family's business: Immediate and extended and anyone else I am able to talk to about it.
To the woman at the front desk you should be ashamed. Aside from the fact that it's immoral to run scams on people who are trying hard to survive in this economy you're ruining your coworkers and your offices reputation. You push customers (who were very loyal before) to the point of threatening you with lawyers.
I am actually awear of several other people who have been in this exact spot with your office because of you, and their stories are the same as mine: you sell them a false tale from far enough back that they either no longer have the records to prove what they remember, or you trust that most people won't put in the time and effort to pursue it with the insurance. Then even if the insurance sides with them you threaten them with going to collections, no one can afford a lawyer over such a small sum as$300 to $500 so of course they pay, demand their records and never go there again.
To the employees of Dr. Lockwood's office. I suggest you find employment elsewhere, because eventually this woman is going to run off anyone who would bother to see you and then you'll have a very hard time getting away from the reputation she's put on your name.
