Dr. Brian A. Mata

I can’t say enough about how happy and blessed I am with Dr. Mata and his team at Lakeshore Ortho. His professionalism and the compassion that he and his team displayed on the day leading up to and on the day of my TKR was above and beyond my expectations. On April 19, 2022 Dr.Brian Mata and medical team at UPMC Chautauqua did my right TKR. His procedure is surgery on Tuesday with a nerve block PT that after and on Wednesday with a check out by 11am on Thursday. My pain level was a 1 because of PT before and after and the nerve block . I slept in my bedroom on the first day home and took NO opioids. I am scheduled for my left TKR on Tuesday November 22, and will be home for Thanksgiving Diner. One God Note about Dr. Mata, when he signed the knee for surgery his initials are BAM and that’s the name of the Be A Man Bible Ministry that I founded. So, I saw the initials on my knee, I asked him if I could pray for him and the team. They all were silent and thankful and so was I. He has help me so much with my quality of life.

From the moment Dr.Mata walked in the room I was impressed. He is young talented and has a great personality. He explained what I needed and we talked about options . I decided with the least invasive option at this time. We were on the same page and will decide our next option should I need to change my plan of care. It was a pleasure and will see him again for a follow up.

Waited for over a week to hear back from his office "if they would take my case because of my insurance" and still no response from them today. Forcing me to go back to ecmc to see an ortho asap. My cousin says she would never recommend this doctor to anybody. And now I see why. Still no reply from this office even 2 months later....

Dr. Mata is The only orthopedic doctor I would trust with my kids . He's just amazing with them when he was treating them . He made my kids feel comfortable and at ease.

Great doctor. Wonderful bedside manor. Great surgeon..... from our "fish bone" man.
