Dr Baier Krista

We were at the office a while ago (about 4.5 years). We fixed 3 teeth for my 2.5 boy at once! It was't of course a joy and it can't be))) But since that he didn't have any problem with these teeth, and they succecfually changed recently. My respect to quality work of doctor!!!

Staff and doctors were nice enough and overall gentle with Adella. I was asked if my child would like "fluoride vitamins". This is incorrect as fluoride is a element/mineral, not a vitamin. I felt the terminology was used to emotionally sway me and then I was stuck with the $35 bill for it. And the comprehensive exam for my child consisted of looking and tapping her teeth, taking pictures with an iPhone, and selling me on a $1700 procedure and toothpaste. I was not happy with my experience the more I thought about it because I felt the office had the heart of a sales team versus education. I was sold versus being informed as to what is happening and why they are doing each step and the progression.

I called to make an appointment for my son, since he was seen by public health at school and has a cavity. I was very rudely told that Dr.Baier is booking into April. That is the extent of my contact with this office. I cannot imagine that the office is too caring or welcoming based on the way I was spoken to on the phone.

Overall, a good dentist office for children. An unpleasant surprise for me was to learn that they use a specialist price schedule. All invoiced prices where higher than Ontario dental association general practitioner fee guide. As a result, I was left with a few hundred dollars of out-of-pocket expenses, while normally my insurance would cover 100% of the bill. I would have appreciated for the clerk to tell me that they use this higher price schedule before the procedures.

To the comment below about higher pricing and being left having to pay out of pocket, it is your responsibility to simply ask them to submit an predetermination to your insurance company. This would have avoided not knowing. It is always a good idea to do before any procedure .
