DQ Grill & Chill Restaurant

What was dairy Queen like in the 1970's? This place will let you find out. Like a lot of small town DQ's, there isn't a lot of competition, so every time I've visited this place it's been busy. Industrious teenagers will serve you - I don't think I've ever seen an adult here. The food comes fast and the service is great, despite it being busy. The only downside is that the building is showing its age. The bathrooms are exceptionally small, so if you are also going to fill up your tank with gas, I would recommend using the bathroom there instead.

We had not been for a family dinner since new owners/management took over. It was a much better experience! Food was hot and the ice cream was good! It was cleaner too! My burger was the the best I have ever had from them!

Went to Bottineau today and decided to grab DQ on the way out. Was totally surprised to find out they aren't open on the weekends. The blizzards were mixed well. Parking lot could use a patch job. Overall, not bad.

Ordered a royal strawberry cheesecake blizzard. Took it home. Had to have it in the freezer a bit, since it was melting by the time they gave it to me. Clearly training a new kid. I got a few bites into the blizzard and I realize that there are absolutely no strawberries. I go in to complain, and they tell me there is nothing they can do. I ate “too much” of the blizzard. How am I supposed to know there are zero strawberries unless I have a few bites first? Keep in mind that the royal cheesecake blizzard is supposed to be filled in the middle with strawberry pieces. Obviously I didn’t eat half the blizzard. Half the blizzard wasn’t there to begin with. They could clearly see that there were no strawberries in my STRAWBERRY cheesecake blizzard. They wouldn’t even give me a side of strawberries to make up for it. I didn’t ask for a new one, just wanted my strawberries. Practically seven bucks for ice cream and they can’t even do the basic, decent thing and give me a hand full of strawberry pieces. How is this acceptable? Train those kids better. I have better things to do with my money.
