I recently picked up film photography as a new hobby and have been going to downtown camera for all my film needs. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, and there’s always someone at the door welcoming you!  Due to a shortage of film right now it’s hard to find what I usually go for but I’m able to try out new film since they have many brands to choose from. I like to develop 5-6 rolls at a time, which usually takes 5-7 days for me which is reasonable.  Always a pleasure working with them and they’re my go to. :

I brought my Canon A-1 here for a full light seal replacement and to get the infamous Canon shutter squeak dealt with. These guys were quick to get it all done and at a very reasonable price as well. The camera sounds 100x better than it did when I brought it in and I’m looking forward to start shooting with it. Will definitely be coming back.

Great place to find any camera and video needs and all their accessories, lighting, mic, drone etc. From Vintage to The newest Camera such as Sony, Fujifilm, Canon, Leica, all model including lenses and bateries. Service and Repair, also available printing for Roll Film.  Great service too. Recomended

It's a amazing place, cool people, nice decorations, you really love it, as I did,I had good experience there,I found a light box cheaper any other stores, even Amazon, in the entrance you will find an amazing walll with all kind of cameras from beginning, for me was a memorable thing, can you believe it. Highly recommended if you're photographer or filmmaker, it good to you check it out.

Best of the best. Most complete in the city With the staff know about their products and their services. Honest people and super nice. Faraz is the best of them. You can chat with him and let him know what you are looking for, and he can help you the best. Super patient and knowledgeable about each camera and function, and he even let you know how problematic the camera is so you can make the best decisions. The variety of the cameras is outstanding. Definitely the go-to place without any hesitation.

I visited a number of camera stores in the area having researched online. What you can’t research online is the wonderful friendly, knowledgeable, patient attitude and atmosphere that each team member in Downtown Camera brought to each interaction. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, generous with their time, and there was absolutely no ‘hard sell’, I was shown options, and because I had the space to think without any pressure, I was able to choose the right lens for me, having tried three on my shortlist. It gave me confidence that I’d chosen the right thing. The savings on used vs new weren’t huge, because they’re running a brilliant holiday promotion on new lenses right now, but I’m happy with what I got, and prefer where possible to buy used.

Amazing place! Highly recommend if you are into film photography. Amazing place with so many cameras and lenses. Everyone so friendly and knowledgeable.

Quick and painless service. Got my stuff on a discounted price online, went there and picked them up curbside in a jiffy! They're also responsive on the messenger.  This time got my G7X quickly fixed on the spot. Service was really pleasant and friendly. Everyone knows what they're talking about and was able to provide recommendations even if they don't fix  it in store.

I used to love downtown camera, but I honestly can't recommend it anymore. I've been coming here for years and recently my experience has been less than stellar. Some of the staff are great and helpful, but others have forgotten about me completely while I waited for service, given me false information, one even ignored me so he could flirt with another customer who was definitely not into it. And the prices have gone up, but so have wait times... If there was another film development place near me I would switch in a heartbeat.
