A good, classic breakfast for a nice price. It’s a small place and the parking lot isn’t the best, but our wait wasn’t more than 5 minutes. They have friendly service and our food came out quickly. I got the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked well and seasoned well also. I liked the hashbrowns as they were crispy and buttery. My husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak. Our coffee and waters stayed full throughout our meal and we left full and happy. We’ll definitely be back.
Drove past this cafe a million times and finally made time to go in. It did not disappoint. It's a small cafe with friendly staff, Kristi was our waitress, she was attentive and kind. The menu is full of options and serves breakfast all day- perfect little spot for some diner coffee and a bite to eat.
This place had the best menu with so many choices of amazing home cooking. The chicken fettuccine was the best I've had. The rarebit burger was spot on! The chicken and noodles in mashed potatoes that I took home was delicious!

Never Ever disappointed. Breakfast has always been our draw. The BEST in Des Moines, Biscuits & Gravy over crispy Hash Browns and a Pancake. All calories are ordered on the side. Thank you for your service. Kid-friendliness: Service was top-notch, kind, and friendly. Love the dessert cooler to go!
My husband says the biscuits and gravy were the best he has ever had! Very friendly cafe with fabulous coffee
Ordered chicken and noodles and had 2 bites and had to quit. Seriously should take that off the menu. Plate was mostly mashed potatoes and gravy with few noodles and cubed chicken sprinkled on top. My issue was it tasted like nothing with a dash of salt.

Don't judge this book by its cover. The food is really great. Everything tastes homemade and they have an all day breakfast menu. The rest of the menu is really diverse too.
